We travel the ICW and frequent restaurants/bars along the way. Have never experienced such rudeness from a bartender as at the Anchor Lounge. It appeared that we were a bother asking for a drink, given the scowl on her face. Then when we told her the bar was sticky and asked her to wipe it, she snarled at us. She began to clean it and then said, “I can’t reach it you’ll have to do it yourself” and dropped the rag on the bar.We had planned to eat there but if that’s the standard there is no way we would continue the unpleasantness. This woman is not suited for customer service. She lost the bar at least two customers. No reason for rudeness anywhere.

To whom it may concern. The bartender was not friendly tonight what so ever. She did not even greet us. We had to greet her. Did not remove any dirty plates from Infront of us until after my friend got her side salad. Rolled her eyes at us multiple times. We asked if they had black cherry white claws and she literally looks at us and says “ obviously “ and points to two girls at the bar . We came in on a boat to try something different and won’t be back because of her. We are all service industry and she had potential to make a lot of money. Instead she judged us. Bartending may not be the right job for her. Have a wonderful night!

The night bartender needs a lesson on how to be respectful to customers. We are local and eat/drink here all the time. To be treated disrespectfully is uncalled for. We've never been rude or unkind to any employee. We expect the same in return. The food is actually good. We will continue to come but if the employee attitudes continue to be negative that will change.

Beautiful location, and that's about where it ends. Got boom boom shrimp and cheese sticks. Both inedible at best. The shrimps breading was thick and very bland, along with barely covered in sauce. The cheese sticks were very obviously frozen and just nasty. Barely ate what we got.... we had three shrimps and one cheese stick. Bartender didn't ask why, or if everything was okay or really check in with us at all. She was also not personable at all.... we were going to order entrees prior to trying the apps. Also... 160 a couple of drinks(there were three of us)... in addition to the two inedible appetizers.

Great setting, good food and happy hour prices! The menu has been expanded to include choices other than fried items which we like. Good service. Plan to return soon!

OMG, great views, good service but that's all of the positives. Food was the worst I might have ever had. I had the fried shrimp basket and my wife hade the fried oyster basket. Obviously everything was from frozen but even that can not explain how bad everything tasted. My wife had about half of an oyster and ate no more. I forced down three shrimp, all so tough that it took half a cup of water to get it down. This cafe leaves this nice area with a huge black eye!!! Don't pay attention to the one star, that was mandatory to post!!

Some of the best Mahi I've had, living in the Myrtle Beach area all of my life. They cooked it just as I like it (which is blackened/WELL done). The Boom Boom shrimp were also good. Tots are crispy and not oily. Been coming up for years on the boat and will continue to do so.

Tried once they had very good steamed shrimp, but very average service and drunk people taking over the place at 6pm. Didn’t want to pass judgement on one visit so we went back a few months and it was horrible. 1:15pm on a Saturday. Service was like an afterthought. We waited and waited for anyone to even care. When someone came it was like they just didn’t care. Food was awful. Pimento cheese was at room temp and was melted all over the basket. Fried shrimp was cold hard and the breading was inedible. The crab cakes were fishy burned and inedible also. It’s a shame because the view is unbeatable but they need to get it together fast
