Big hole in the ceiling definitely distracted me. 😂 Wifes fish n chips were below average. But my fried oyster platter was solid. Real good actually. Not sure ill go back.

Went here for happy hour with the family but unfortunately it was not very happy. They don't allow the happy hour anywhere but the bar. And if you have kids they can't sit at the bar. So effectively if you have children you can't have happy hour. They were very insistent upon this worst experience in Myrtle Beach so far. Stay clear if you have a family. They won't honor the Happy hour food and drink menu in the restaurant other than at the bar which is not possible with kids.

Outside bar was nice, love that they have live music.

Update: 8/16/25. Not sure if all the staff were having a bad day;however service sucked tonight. We brought friends telling how great this place was but ended up leaving to going to another restaurant for dinner. Sitting inside seeing black mold was disturbing.

The place looked nice and was cute but the employees were unprofessional. The teenager hostess had very little manners. Prices were a little much for the portion sizing especially the boils. Overall cleanliness was not the best. Floor was very dirty and window sills had bugs on them. As it was dirty many employees just sat around and was on their phone. At the end of the dining experience I had found dead bugs in my drink. Do not recommend for the price!!!!

It was ho-hum, absolutely nothing special. I was hoping for a water view (that's why we picked it), but you can only see the water if you sit at the bar...outside...too hot and sticky.

Try the peel and eat shrimp or the Oyster Boil. You will not be sorry! Happy Hour menu is also a must (4-8) and today (Sunday), there’s a band called The Purpose. Bartender says this band donates 100% of proceeds to charity. If you’re in the area right now then pass on your other plans and come to Clearwater Oyster Bar. I think you’ll love it!

Came in around 430 on a Thursday. The place wasnt busy and the staff was super attentive and friendly. We sat inside and ordered the shrimp cocktail and the larger seafood boil for the table. It was more than enough food for the 3 of us. Easily could have fed another person. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of spice. We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for over a decade. This was our first time eating at Clearwater. It was hands down one of the best meals we've ever had. We will be coming back next year. 10 out of 10!

We have came here for a few years now and it has always been great food. We love the oysters, boils, and gator bites. This year though the service was trash. It was not packed at all. We got there at 7:30 and sat down right away. No one came to even take a drink order or acknowledged us for 25 minutes and we had to ask for someone. I would completely understand if it was busy but atleast 5 waitresses were literally just standing around laughing and talking..they could've atleast put our drink order in ya know? We are not hard to please and very understanding but it was a little ridiculous this time. I really didn't even want to leave a tip but we ended up leaving some extra anyways bc we felt bad even though it wasn't deserved. Other than the service the food was delicious as always.

The food was delicious, and the deck’s view of the Intracoastal Waterway made the meal even better. Prices were average, the drinks were well made, and the house wine was good. Happy hour is worth catching if you arrive in time. I’ll definitely be back.

Lorana was great, very patient with my family including a 9 year old, 1 year old and an infant. The food was both plenteous and excellent in taste! We were blown away and can’t wait to go back!

Don't get crab cakes if you know what a crab cake is. BIG burgers. Good crab legs. Not that great F& Chips. Good fries.
