I usually go to this restaurant with my husband and eat in. This was my first order I placed to pick up.
The food and service is always good. They have daily specials and the prices are reasonable.

The best place for crispy, buttery edged pancakes, hands down, especially when you crave that for dinner.

Great food friendly staff. The meatloaf is always to die for. It reminds me of the meatloaf of my childhood.

I love cracker barrel, my order was right , it did take longer than expected but at least this time my corn bread wasn't burnt like the last time. I couldn't believe they even put it in a bag and gave that out.

The food was just ok. Not nearly what it used to be. The waitress was efficient. I probably will not return.

Was looking for birthday present. I didn't eat there. They have so many unique items and the cashier was very nice.

A friend and I decided to eat at Cracker Barrel this evening. We placed our orders and when the food came, my okra looked like someone had used a potato masher to the okra. It was cold, rubbery and had no taste. The country fried steak was cold but the gravy on top of the steak was barely warm, and I had ordered carrots but was brought corn, which wasa little warm. My friend ordered the country fried shrimp, and the shrimp was warm, but her broccoli was overcooked and barely warm and her mashed potatoes were so thick that the butter wouldn't even melt, and the mashed potatoes could not be eaten. The server came by and asked how things but we had not eaten anything yet. By the time the server came back to see how things were, we were both so hungry that we ate the cold food and didn't complain. This is NOT the first time that I I have gone to eat at Cracker Barrell and had cold food served to me. With all the recent advertising, I hoped the food would be much better. I was very disappointed with the food that I was served. There are very few places that a person can go to have a meat and vegetable dinner anymore unless it is a buffet and a higher cost. Most of the cafeterias have long closed, and it is getting more difficult to find a good homed cooked meal that is reasonably priced, much less a good hot meal. I have found this to be the same at other restaurants. Most of the time, the baked potatoes are too cold to melt the butter, the vegetables are over-cooked, and you are lucky if your steak or meat is even warm, much less cooked as ordered. It is very discouraging to see restaurants serving food this way repeatedly. What happened to pride in their food, and making sure the food is even hot when you get it, much less cooked as ordered. I know many places are short staffed, the servers don't seem to care about the service, and then get upset when they don't get what they consider a good tip. How much longer can restaurants keep serving food that isn't their best, or even serving it hot? I know that I won't be going back to Cracker Barrel again. I don't recommend eating there unless you like cold, over-cooked food.
