Dinner was very delicious . Atmosphere was very relaxing. Bree was our waitress.
She knew all the specials and was very educated on all the sauces.
Also a real cutie from Jersey. Beautiful personality. We all enjoyed her.
She made our great dinner even greater.

Emily and I recently dined at O.A.K. Prime Kitchen, and it was nothing short of an exceptional experience from start to finish. We were visiting from Arizona, and this meal absolutely made our trip even more memorable.

I ordered the Australian Wagyu steak special, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The charred crust on the outside paired with the tender, flavorful inside made it one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Emily went with the Chilean Seabass special, beautifully presented over risotto, with lump crab, asparagus, and a sauce that tied all the flavors together in the most delicious way.

We also tried their Rockefeller oysters, and the hollandaise sauce on them was out of this world — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. For dessert, we shared the s’mores bread pudding, which we were told was a first-time creation. It was so good that we’re crossing our fingers it becomes a permanent menu item.

The ambience was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. A special thank you to Cheryl, our server, who was so kind, uplifting, and genuinely made the night even more memorable.

We went on a recommendation, and we are so glad we did — this place is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for a restaurant where the food, atmosphere, and service are all top-tier, O.A.K. Prime Kitchen is well worth the visit.

The owner's remarks are terrible. Cannot fathom referring customers to mcdonalds. Such lack of professionalism. Will never set foot here. Read each feedback from owner. How condescending.

To owner: ah. You made it a point to reply with decency. I applaud you. 👏

My friends and I went here on a trip to Myrtle Beach for my 30th birthday. We were blown away with every part of the experience. To start off, the restaurant called my friend that made the reservation to confirm it was a birthday.
When we arrived, there was a personalized birthday card waiting for me. It was a great touch! We got drinks, apps and entrees. The drinks were fantastic- one of the best dirty martinis I’ve ever had with olives stuffed with fresh pimentos. The apps and entrees were beyond- but nothing beat the ribeye. It was the best steak I have ever had. My friends and I spent the rest of the night debating which was our favorite app. The service was also great, including the waiter recommending a great piano bar for us to hit after dinner. Can’t wait to visit Myrtle to come here again!

We chose OAK Prime in Carolina Forest for our anniversary dinner, partly because it’s close to home and partly because it’s one of the few “special night out” spots in the area. Overall, it was a good choice, but there are a few things worth knowing before you go.

First, be prepared for steakhouse pricing. Our bill came to about $360 for an appetizer, mains, wine, coffee, and dessert. If you plan on enjoying a full evening here, I’d budget $150–$200 per person including tip.

Food-wise, the standout for me was their signature dish, the Chilean sea bass, beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The Wagyu, priced at $95, had a great char and tasted ok, but for a $100 steak, I was expecting more in terms of presentation. I would not get it anymore and prefer the filet over it, probably. On the side, the Brussels sprouts were a pleasant surprise, only $11 and not greasy like you often find elsewhere.

The appetizer was a mixed bag. We tried the tuna tower, which was fresh but underwhelming for $23. The portion was smaller than expected, and it came topped with cheap canned chips instead of something more fitting for the price, a custom crisp would be more appropriate.

Dessert ended things on a high note. The bread pudding was easily one of the best I’ve had in the area, rich, indulgent, and worth saving room for.

The wine list is on the thin side, with just a handful of options in each category. You can find something to pair with your meal, but I do wish the selection was broader.

As for the atmosphere, OAK Prime definitely aims for a dark, classic steakhouse feel. The décor is tasteful, and the main dining room was lively on our visit. That said, it can’t quite escape the reality of its strip mall location; the high windows give it away. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it does make you wish a restaurant of this calibre had a more sophisticated setting.

Bottom line: OAK Prime is one of the better options nearby if you’re celebrating or just want a nice night out. The food has high points (especially the sea bass and bread pudding), the service is not what I'd call memorable, but ok, and, while it’s pricey, it delivers enough to make it worth the occasional splurge.

Found this place on open table when another restaurant we wanted to go to was booked and we are glad we did! Some reviews mention the price but coming from New Jersey, the pricing was normal for us. If anything, the quality of the food we got far surpassed the price! We started with cocktails that the bartender made perfectly, the margaritas were exactly as a true margarita should be. For apps, we got the home-made biscuits, which were like a grown-up refined version of the addictive red lobster biscuits, and salads to share. My husband had the french onion soup special and the bone marrow broth was amazing, it will be my new cozy day craving. For entrees, we shared steaks with fries and Brussels. The steaks were among the best I have ever had, the char on the outside was not too much and the meat cut like butter with the perfect steak flavor. My mom had a scallop app which was a great size for her with four scallops over pineapple fried rice. All of the desserts sounded great but we were so full from dinner we had to skip it! My only critique was the brussels could have been crispier- so if you like them crunchy ask and the grilled Caesar could have had a little more grill for me.

Ambiance was good, we ate in the bar area because the other dining room didn't have the same vibe but was still nice!

If you want a really freaking good steak and creative dishes, try this place asap. It will definitely be in our rotation.

Nice and classy for a treat meal. Ordered the Delmonico medium rare and the collard greens. Items came quickly out of the kitchen. The cook and the crust on the steak was fantastic. Nice moody setting and attentive staff.

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was spectacular! I got the wagyu and it was worth every penny! We also tried the pineapple fried rice with scallops, some oysters, and a delicious skillet cookie and ice cream for dessert ! Chris our server was very knowledgeable on everything and very charismatic which made it fun to try things we never would’ve, like the escargot which was great!

Highly recommend!!!
