Danny’s Authentic NY Pizza

Although the stars are high, the sauce lacks flavor. First time was the same as my recent and last time dining, same no flavor.

First time order From this place. The pizza was dry. Very little sauce or cheese. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. I rate the quality of the pizza on par from Costco.

Not impressed! My Margareta Pizza was awful. I read the glowing reviews and thought this place would be good, so I called in and placed and order for pick up. Got it back to the house, opened the box, and found an under cooked, doughy, poor excuse for a pizza. It is just thick dough, gobs of mozzarella, tomato chunks, and sprinkles of basil. I should have taken it back, but I live 20 minutes away. The taste was just as bad as it looks (see pic). Danny’s should be embarrassed to server such a mess. Needless to say, my first experience with Danny’s Authentic NY Pizza will be my last experience. NY would kick them out of the state for serving this!! It is now in my trash can. I opened a can of soup instead.

I saw this place had good reviews so I ordered a thin crust vegetable pizza with several types veggies added on. The crust was thick, not much vegetables, found several thin pieces of green peppers, only could see were tomato sauce on the top of the cheese and frozen spinach not fresh ones. The cheese tastes funny, not sure what kind of cheese.

We ordered the Bilotti. For a 5 topping pizza.....the toppings were very minimal. We also ordered the all meat pizza. Very light on the toppings. Probably won't order there again.

The pizza is good, and I used to highly recommend this place. Some of my friends from New York have come and enjoyed it, but I will likely not return. I was standing in line and a gentleman quickly walked around me as if I didn’t exist. When I told the lady behind the counter, she acted as if she neither noticed nor cared.

I was in the restaurant last night waiting for an order. I observed 1 pizza maker holding one side of his nose, using inhaler, then put his finger on the other side of his nose and using the inhaler in the other nostril. He then continues to use the Pizza wooden paddle and uses those hands to lift up the pizza to look at the bottoms to see if they are cooked. Another pizza maker was drinking out of a dirty cup and using those hands to make the pizza. The last pizza maker was scratching his butt. Smoking a vape. Scratching his neck, then scratching his belly while his hands scratch down below the waist of his shorts. All three of these pizza makers never washed their hands. I will never ever order from this restaurant again. It was so disgusting for me to watch what was going on in this restaurant while they were making peoples food.

Stopped in to Danny's today for a slice(way overcooked for my liking). As a pizza lover, I had an email I wanted to share and asked if the restaurant had a business email address or business card. The girl at the register said, "let me ask the owner" who was standing right there behind the counter. I heard the entire conversation she had with him. Rude and unfriendly to say the best. Instead of following up with why I was asking, he was more interested in the overly loud gambling conversation he was have with a customer. So here is the review which was not my intention when I walked in there. I have heard negative things about the guy and now I know why.

Just GO! It's the closest thing to my childhood memories of NY pizza and calzones. Just GO!

I honestly don't understand the hype. We tried it and coming from queens NY and growing up on long island its OK. But I guess for down here they consider this very good
