You want authentic Mexican? This is the place to go. It looks like a hole in the wall, but we were absolutely floored at how good it was! And very reasonably priced. The guacamole is delicious.

If you want to try AUTHENTIC, mexican food this is the place without a doubt, we tried tacos, sopes, and everything tasted good, we went there twice and did not dissapoint, defenetly coming back when we make it back to MB.
this place is family owned and it’s obvious bc the food here is made with love
it’s one of my favorite places to eat and i tell everyone i know about it
i love the chilaquiles and all the tacos and the green salsa is so spicy but sooo good
Without a doubt- the most delicious guacamole I have ever had. It was so fresh! We had street style tacos - carnitas, chorizo, barbacoa, el pastor and birria. Very tastey! Small restaurant. Attentive servers. We were so impressed!!!

Well I have to say I wasn’t expecting much when i walked in.. the place is literally a whole in the wall. The food was questionable.. it was very below average. The service was terrible our waiter barely acknowledged us.. and the price was ridiculously high for the service and food and the place was just overall awful.

Definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Just upset I was just driving through from NY down to FL because I would visit this place at least once a week.
Cashier who took our order was super nice and the food was incredible. Only thing missing from the pastor was a little pineapple. Don’t get me wrong though, seasoning was on point and it was delicious. But the Lengua was probably the best one I’ve had in my entire life.
The salsas were really good and if allowed, I would’ve paid for 2 quarts of green sauce to take home. The green salsa reminded me of a Peruvian and Colombian style of green salsa. Great flavor and perfect heat level.
For sure if I’m in Myrtle Beach again, I’m coming every day.

Visiting and decided to grab a bite here. Chicken tacos were so flavorful and fresh! But…you’re going to need about 6 of them to be full. They are micro street tacos. So pricey for the size

We asked if we could get corn tortillas instead of flour. They said yes and proceeded to give me me tortillas with flour. Had they said we only had tortillas with flour, I would have ordered something else.
Having two people sit and watch 4 others not eat makes for a horrible meal. Being sick after taking a bite makes for a horrible next few days.
If you have food allergies stay far away.
Dietary restrictions: Stay far away from this place. They Don’t know what ingredients are in the food.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in Myrtle Beach, El Rey Del Taco is the place to go! The service was impressively quick, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Every bite tasted authentic, from the tacos to the salsas, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh.
What really stood out was the value – the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality and portions we received. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something quick, this spot delivers. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

Was looking for some cow tongue (don’t knock it till you try it) and this place didn’t miss! I ordered: 1 Al pastor (pork), 3 beef tongue, and 1 beef head. They were all delicious especially with their home made green and red sauces. I ended up getting 2 more al pastor. These are more like street tacos so the tortillas are smaller but doesn’t really change the fact of anything. My wife got the birria, and shrimp tacos and ended up ordering another shrimp and birria taco. Everything was delicious if you want some authentic tacos this is the spot! Very friendly staff and prompt service!
