We were seated immediately upon entering. Our waitress informed us the oven was broken and we would not be able to order 4 of the menu items. We were going to order two. We did order two pasta dishes the likes of which we compared to Olive Garden but of course mire expensive. Also three very small pieces of bread were brought to the table prior to our salads. It was hard and had been sitting around. I ordered a drink which was OK but expensive. For us the dining experience was disappointing.
Acoustics could be improved but everything else was perfect. Gios is my favorite Myrtle Beach Restaurant
This was our first visit to Gios. The server was Chris(Hristo) who was Greek/Albanian. He recommended the Risotto Pescatore special for me, and my Wife ordered the Renato's Favorite(Renato is the Chef). From the beginning, both the food and service were truly outstanding. The bread came with olive oil with balsamic vinegar drizzled into it and spelled out Gios. The taste was intensely good. I got the broccolini bisque which had a refreshingly different taste almost like pea soup with ham. Very enjoyable. My Wife's salad dressing(house Italian) used a different kind of vinegar in the dressing and was excellent with very fresh lettuce, carrots and celery. For our main entrees, the Risotto Pescatore was cooked to perfection and had lobster claw meat, scallops and shrimp cut up and mixed in the risotto with a Vodka sauce so that every bite had meat/seafood in it. Very filling and it was the most unique and tasteful meal I've had in years !!! My Wife had Renato's favorite which was perfectly cooked large shrimp on fettuccine with a light Alfredo sauce and she said it too was outstanding. We had cheesecake with raspberry jam for dessert and which we took leftovers home to add to breakfast. Gios is a gem of a restaurant. Spread the word ! We will definitely return here...
Stopped in for early dinner and ate at the bar. Mussels were great as well as the lasagna. Service was good for being at a not super busy bar felt like I shouldn't have had to ask for water a couple of times. There were only 9 not super needy patrons. The bartender also forgot that I get a salad with my meal. Great place however it is probably pretty loud when busy as the "wall dividers" for seating are just fancy slabs with holes in them. Some seats at the bar vs. dining could be awkward as you would literally see and hear the next table. Also their is a sign for business casual dressing code but being in Georgetown and Huntington state park all day and on our way back to our condo for the week, we were casually dressed and judged but not turned away.

We had chicken marsala. It was just okay. We didn't eat in the restaurant. We had it to go.

Awful restaurant. 8:30pm reservation. Not seated until 9:30pm.
We're eventually seated in the bar area next to the kitchen and bathrooms (which we could have done ourselves without a reservation). Our food does not arrive until close to 11pm. While waiting for our food, we're listening to wait staff near the kitchen complain about the customers. When the (awful) food finally arrives, we're the last patrons in the restaurant, so the staff begin to rush us out. Stay away, and save your time and money. This place is just another cheap, pretentious, chain restaurant that is poorly ran and not at all worth the hype.

Pretty good experience, all except waiting so long for our food. Wasn't our servers fault, came from kitchen. We were there before the crowd came in & still had to wait on food. But they recovered, the food was great. Our server Alissa was awesome 👌 No hats allowed.

Only complaint...we had the scallop and shrimp...the scallops tasted old...sent them back...waitress told us the chef is certain they were fresh....they weren't...he would replace them with some shrimp at an additional charge...I won't be back.

Great food, very well made, the pizza has a nice brick oven taste & crust. The buratta is delicious and some of the craft drinks are too.

Beautiful restaurant with very clean restrooms however...the food is not worth the price, the staff is poorly trained and wine is flat and not consistent in pour volume. It's a typical tourist trap. Bread was cold, olive oil / balsamic vinegar mix was sour, no salt & pepper on the table and had to chase down the waitress to request parmesan cheese! Imagine that no cheese in Italian restaurant?!? I'd prefer to take up concerns with management but no one was on site and according to five staff members, our complaints are "par for the course". Unfortunately the Olive Garden (or any of the 3 other restaurants on the block) would have been a better choice. Final note, don't assume a complaint will equate to a discount, we returned a full glass of stale wine, a charcuterie board and a veal parmesan that was bland at best.

Wonderful dinner and great service by Alex. Bistecca Alla Griglia was just perfect and Shrimp and scallops Alfredo was delicious.
Great food and service. Very busy, call for reservations. If not bar tables are very comfy.
