Ordered delivery, rerouted to slice. Ordered their special, large cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks 19.99 and a specialty pizza. It arrived 25 min later, the large cheese pizza was cold, the specialty was warm but not very flavorful, no napkins, and no mozzarella sticks. Not sure where the breakdown occurred but it was pretty disappointing.

I have been a regular at Hot Tomato. Always had a very good meal. Today sat at the bar for a glass of wine and a 12” basic margarita pie. It was HARD as a rock. I informed the bartender that I have eaten here many times but it was really different and very difficult to eat. He came back with a small discount off a 14.00 pie. He reply is that they changed the flour and that’s the reason the pie is very hard compared to what you have had in the past. I am embarrassed to even take time to write this review but since I couldn’t even get the manager to come out to address the issue. They definitely lost a steady customer over their response and quality of this “new” pie.

Placed order on their website and verified by phone. Arrived 1/2 hour later to pick up pies. Hostess was difficult to understand, but it was still in oven, only a few more minutes. 15 minutes later, still not ready, asked me questions I didn’t comprehend and i showed her the receipt, which she apparently had never seen before. Pizza still in oven. After waiting a half hour, still nothing, but offered me drink, which i declined. The entire time this was viewed by a man I assume was the owner who’s only interest was chatting up the pizza chef, slowing him down. Called the number on the receipt and was told there was a problem with the wood fired oven that had a roaring fire the entire time. Finally the pies came out and had to wait for a unwanted, complimentary slice of cheesecake with this scrawled on the container “sorry for the wait”.
Ownership is clearly clueless and apathetic to customers as another couple was there waiting there when arrived and still there when i left. Not once did he come forward to apologize. Had they immediately admitted they screwed up, there wouldn’t have been an issue. The only person there with talent is the pizza chef, he produced very good NY style pizza, except forgot the pepperoni, i guess he was distracted. BTW, the dining room wasn’t busy. No excuses for this lousy experience. . Will we go back? probably, as the pizza is that good.
The experience explains the reason for the sign on the front door that reads “A mandatory 18% gratuity will be added to ALL CHECKS”!

This was a pickup order and my husband had to ask for the tea and they didn’t include the coke that I had ordered online. The risotto was not cooked all the way and the rice was hard. The pizza was burnt on the bottom and the wings was not good at all!! If we hadn’t been desperate because it was Christmas Day, I would have gone somewhere else

Drinks incredibly expensive. Food is a mixed bag. The specialties were delicious. The chicken piccata bland and the chicken chewy. Atmosphere amazing. Great music, great service, great lighting.

The food was cold. The waitress was slow and inexperienced. And she kept putting her armpit in my wife's face. She was serving like she was waiting for us to move the empty plates and things. It was not a good experience. It was not the experiences of the past. Oh yeah, and then there's the 18% gratuity no one told us about. We tipped the girl on top of that. Not cool! I hope that 18% at least goes to the waitress and not the restaurant.
With a prime location like that, maybe its time they failed so the lessons from these bad reviews can be learned?

Great Tomato Basil soup.
Great service.
Grilled chicken for the kid was overdone. Tiramisu was too dense.
Penne was fine.

Walked here from Springhill Suites for dinner. It’s very close and on a Tuesday night in November not to busy. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer. Service was friendly and good. Pizza didn’t take too long and was tasty. I would definitely eat here again, would love to try some pasta dishes. Please note your tip for service is already added to your bill. I’m wondering if service wasn’t as expected 18% how you deduct?
