I've been going to King Kong Sushi for 12 years went there last night for my birthday around 8:10 they close at 9:00 I was served my order along with my girlfriends we ate and was asked if we want anything else put in another order and the server came back and said because it's quiet tonight they're not serving any more food that was at 8:25 or something early she apologized and I don't believe it had anything to do with her the sushi chef should have said to her we're going to close early see if any of your customers want anything else before we close they did not do that I thought that that was very unprofessional since the place closes at 9:00 I'm all for somebody leaving work early if you can but not at the cost of the customer and the server who feels very bad as it was out of her control the manager was not there so she couldn't even speak to him not only that but if you can make money for your business which he's there for that as well should have had the decency and the mindset to do so very disappointed

Love this place, first stop everytime in Myrtle beach.

My son and daughter in law found/discovered this place at Broadway at the beach while we were attending the F-Body Beach Bash car show. We have been doing this show for 5 years and didn't know about King Kong.
While I sat with our show cars, my son called me and asked if I wanted anything.
SURE!!
Needless to say, my son and his wife went every single day during the car show.
I think they went a total of 3X while here for 4 days, lol.
I come here often from out of town, and I yesterday was my first time going by myself to get take out.
YUM YUM!!
I love the crunch roll and the edamame!
Service is always spot on.
Friendly.
Great atmosphere.
Never a long wait.
Food always fresh!
We wish they had one in the Charlotte NC area, because we would be there every week if not more.
Will definitely be back to try other types of sushi!!

Having both dine in and take out from here, before and after their remodel, I can confidently say that the many times I went, I thoroughly enjoyed it all! Good choices are amazing. I LOVE sushi and especially fun and creative rolls, and this place has them! They also have amazing options if you can’t have raw fish, but still want something other than just a California roll! Drinks are great! Have only had a couple seasonal, but the bartender’s free pours seem to be right on it!

This place is super consistent, friendly, and efficient! Even if there is a wait, it’s worth your while!

Delicious food. Quick service. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. The sushi and Hibachi is Fire 🔥. 😋

This was my 1st time here. Walking in, its a cool vibe. Perfect for date night or having dinner with friends. Their rolls are delish. We had California Roll, a crunchy shrimp & Volcano. All very good. Our server was very nice and knew the menu well. Even tried to teach me how to use chop sticks. Ill get it one day, on my bucket list! I will be returning.
