Loco Gecko Beach Shak

Really nice place and great location. Service was poor- took forever to get food- after they told us it was still frozen, so you’re not getting fresh food. Waitress avoided us after telling it was going to take much longer for food to come out. Food came out and part of the order was cold ( guessing it was sitting there waiting for the rest of the order. Ketchup tasted like ketchup wine and was scared to try the mayo- leaving the condiments in the sun for hours is a bit a recipe for success. Won’t come here again.

The food is delicious. The service is fantastic. The waitress Brittany, and Lacy were very pleasant. I really had a great time. This is a place you would want to try. Love it ❤️. Also I want to give Stephanie as well a shout out. Wonderful service.

The food in the atmosphere are really good here, and it was a fun and enjoyable lunch. There are unique food options that make the dining experience super awesome. We have put this on our return every time we come to Myrtle Beach list. Also, if you have never had deep fried corn on the cob, you will have to try it here. It's AWESOME!!!

I recently dined at Loco Gecko, and I have to say, it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've ever had. First off, we were seated and then completely ignored for what felt like an eternity. No server came to our table to take our order or even acknowledge our presence. It was incredibly disappointing, especially since the restaurant wasn't even that busy.

Finally, after what seemed like an hour, we managed to flag down a server to place our order. We decided to try their wings, but when they arrived, they were undercooked and quite frankly, unsafe to eat. The exterior was crispy, but the meat was pink and gelatinous inside. Absolutely unacceptable!

Given the combination of lackluster service and poorly prepared food, I left Loco Gecko feeling dissatisfied and unlikely to return. I hope they can improve because the location has great potential, but my experience was certainly not worth it.

Extremely slow service, sat there for about an hour and didn't even get drinks ordered. Definitely do not recommend going to this establishment

Was worried with other reviews but food was good, service was okay, around enough to keep your drinks full and check on you but not over bearing which I like, atmosphere is pretty nice, honestly for a medium priced lunch-dinner in the area i recommend 10/10

Worst dining experience we had in Myrtle Beach.

We chose Loco Gecko for our last night because it was right next to our hotel and it looked like a pretty cool place. We should have paid attention to the reviews.

Firstly, we were "greated" by the most stoic, blank faced hostess Barely a hello, gave us a dirty look the whole time we were walking up, didn't even say to follow her just started walking away. She just looked like she hated the world and just plain didn't want to be there. Granted I know its work but come on... a smile isn't that hard.

Then we waited 15 minutes for someone to even come to our table, only for the hostess to walk over the semi okay waitress and say we weren't her table... right in front of us. She eneded up taking our entire order because we knew what we wanted and walked away.

After waiting another 35 minutes, yes, 35 freaking minutes, we finally got our waters. Nothing was said to us. We were ignored for 35 minutes... we almost walked out but decided we wasted enough time that we will stay.

Finally after about another 20-25 minutes, we got our food, but we never even got our freaking appetizer we had ordered. I ordered there signature Mac and cheese for over $18 and when it came I was so disappointed... it was like a side of Mac and cheese with a few pieces of beef on top. Granted it was good but I was still starving after.

Overall it was absolutely horrible and it's almost 2 hours of our lives and our vacation we will never get back. If you've made it to the end of this review, I strongly suggest to find a different restaurant and don't waste your time here.

We ate at the location by captain's qtrs on 09/01/2024. We were ignored for 20mins. The last straw came when the table behind us who came in well after us got served before us. Sausage patties apparently sit on griddle after cooked because they came out like hockey pucks. Would not pay for food here but it was part of the voucher.

Great experience with the family for vacation. Have visited now two different times, once on my second vacation to Myrtle beach & recently on my third trip to Myrtle beach.

I stayed at the crown reef and attempted to dine at this facility 3 times and only was successful once and the food tasted like hospital food. But… the food is not why I came here to leave a HORRIBLE review it’s the customer service that makes it worse. They staff is rude and lazy, every time I came in here I was literally ignored until I addressed someone.. that’s not good hospitality. I shouldn’t have to standing for 10-15 minutes around waiting for someone even acknowledge me as a customer when half of the staff is sitting on their phones and laughing w each other at the bar like they are not on the clock. Long story short, the food isn’t even worth the trouble to even be able to eat there and I’m staying in the same building . PS. Fire the WHOLE staff and hire people who actually wanna work.
