Mon Cafe Japan (Surfside)

My first time here. Cashier was very patient when I asked a lot of questions. I got the medium express bowl with white meat chicken cooked with teriyaki sauce, veggies and rice. It came out quickly and was very delicious! Portions are generous. I will definitely come back!

I've been going to the location in Conway for years. Today, I decided to try this location out & so grateful that I did. Lol..Omg, amazing with several g's.. lol We got the steak & shrimp entrees, shrimp tempura, and spring rolls. The atmosphere is nice and clean. The staff was great and we didn't wait long for the food. Yes, I will be back at every visit..

The quality of ingredients was not good. Chicken tasted low quality and was cut like an amateur cut it. Hachiya express is much better and a bigger portion.

UPDATE A few months later.. this place is still just super good and friendly. Stop going to hachiya, this is just better in every way imaginable. The quality of the ingredients is literally superior. Tonight I’ll say a prayer thanking whoever owns the place for making something great 🙏

Food was good as always and the owner ( was cleaning like always) spoke and was very polite. Not many places do you see the owner out front cleaning tables and asking if everyone was good

We are from NC and ate here earlier this week. Let me tell you this place is fantastic. From service to food to cleanliness this place is amazing. The owner was super friendly and was even busting tables, which you don’t see often. Highly recommended and will definitely be back next time.

By far one of the best pick up experiences I've ever had! I was in Tonight 9/17/24 and the young lady and gentlemen up front we fantastic! Food ready! Bagged sauces and were super positive and helpful!

Hats off! We will definitely be putting mon cafe back in our rotation!

Hm. Hibachi was supbar, definitely not the go to place with how high the prices are for a majority of dishes. Chicken was a bit burnt on the ends, gave a bit of a bitter after taste. With the amount of hibachi options out there, I wouldn't find myself running to this place. It's not bad but it's not the best either.

Fast friendly service. Food came quick. For the price you pay this is a great fast food alternative. We had a problem with one of the dishes but they quickly fixed it. The FRIES were surprisingly good and crispy! Loved the onion mushroom soup.
