Great brewery. The best beers in Myrtle Beach with an old school taproom.

Love the vibe of New South. Prices are reasonable, the beer and atmosphere are phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Great local brewery. Great beers and I love the Tuesday putting league. Good people.

If you are looking for the most relaxed place to drink a quality craft beer, this is *the* place on the Grand Strand. This is not a restaurant that brews some beer or a tap house-- this is a brewery. The *only* one in Myrtle Beach! You will not be disappointed with the selection of amazing, brewed-on-site craft beer. They have local favorites and limited/seasonal releases.

Went 9/13/24 4:45. Had 4 different beers. All were excellent. Very local and friendly vibe. A must visit. Wish I had more time to try all offerings.

Visited Myrtle Beach from IA between 9/10/24 - 9/12/24 to brewery hop. Visted 5 of 6 (excluding: Independent Republic). Had mixed expectations (due to location & barely open) before visiting this brewery on 9/11 between 6:45-7pm. Doesn't do flights or tasters. Smallest pours is 6oz; Had 3 including the local popular brew "Dirty Myrtle"... none of them tasted that great. When you order they put this wristband on you that which doesn't make any sense since they only serve beer, and don't seem to I.D. anyone if that's what its intended for, reading other reviews it sounds like some sort of "tab" thing which leads to the issue of my experience visiting... placed an order of (2) 6oz to start, was told the total & paid with card, had the wristband put on me right after... 5 minutes before closing I decide to get 1 more 6oz pour, was never told the total... so I'm left to assume they have my info in system to bill me + if the wristband is to confirm an "open tab" or my payment method is in their system.... I finish my beer and start heading out walking back towards downtown, I get 50 feet out the door near the street and the 1 male employee of the 2 employees working that day yells out from their doorway "hey!, you forgot to pay your last beer!"... so embarrassingly I'm having to go back in when I wasn't asked the 2nd time I placed my order for instant payment like the 1st, and what's the point of those wristbands then? When I came back in 1 customer jokingly stated "forget something", and while stating to her I made sure it was loud enough for that employee to hear "I paid with my card last time when I first placed my order so they should have it on file". Tied for worst of the 5 visited.

I had my doubts from the reviews. I don't even like beer. I loved how we got to try a couple before the bar opened during the tour. So the tour was as expected, and he made it fun and humorous. NOW the Nut Brown Ale! is the best for me. I have never had a beer that I can actually drink and enjoy, until now. So I bought 12 to bring home. LOL So I will be back soon. Thanks!

I absolutely love this place. They have a great variety of amazing beers. The people are nice. The decor is super cool. I would be here all the time if I were local.

Great beer and cheap prices. I'll be back. So dirty was my favorite.

By a wide margin, New South Brewery has become our favorite brewery in South Carolina, let alone Myrtle Beach! The beer selections are eclectic and varied, and the staff super inclusive and welcoming. Bonus stars for the equally exclective decorative features... Part salvage yard, part garage sale, part ABC Home store trend. They use an innovative way to calculate your beer costs. You wear a wristband that the bar tender marks with every glass, then pay at the end of your visit.
