Terrific evening. First time visitor. Business dinner. 3 persons. Excellent vibe, set ups, service, food, wines, everything. Expensive but worth it. I'd come back but live in Los Angeles.
unfortunately the whole experience was marred by a lady choking and we never got to eat due to the 1.25 delay from the Ambulance coming to try to save her. Disappointed how unprepared the management at NY Prime was fof this crazy situation. No diffulator and manager was not trained for this type of medical emergency! Probably be a long time before we are ready to go back and this sad because NY prime is our favorite place MB. so disappointed that we got a bill for our drinks as much as we tried to do to help the lady who was choking!
We had a fabulous dinner with a wonderful waitress. She really couldn't have been any better. She mixed our martinis tableside and they were great. The food was equally wonderful. We were seated near the food service area so it was a bit noisy but other than that, it was a perfect experience.
We have been going to New York Prime for years and it never fails to exceed my expectations. The food is always perfectly prepared (NY Strip Steak of course) with a nice char outside. The Cheesy Mashed potatoes are awesome and would highly recommend them. Adrienne was our server and she did an outstanding job as well.
Steven our waiter was exemplary! He expertly guided us through our whole dining experience from food to drinks to wine to desert. His recommendations were spot-on. The whole evening was top shelf.

Wonderful food, had appetizers, drinks and lobster entrée as well as a waygu steak. All were delicious and presented nicely. Would definitely recommend this place. It is somewhat pricey.

Thanx to an impromptu decision to visit New York Prime for New Year's Eve and being so impressed with the service and food quality, we have a new New Year's Eve tradition. This has to be one of the classiest joints in Mrtle Beach. Yes there was a wait even with a reservation. Yes we know to book sooner for next year. Yes we will bring others with us (maybe). The food was impeccable! The service was even more impressive with real wait staff that were absolutely killing it with a packed house. The petite filet was cooked to perfection. It was soft, buttery, and could be cut with my fork. The Italian Chopped Salad hit the spot and had great flavor. The strawberry basil martini was a little strong handed though so watch out for those. My husband and I had a memorable experience though that will keep us coming back for more.

By far the best food and service in Myrtle beach! Bone in ribeye and creamed spinach is to die for! Oyster appetizer was the best. House Cabernet is delicious. Steve was our serve and was the best server! I will be back.

An exceptional dining experience you will have when you give New York Prime a try for the first time.
You will be treated like royalty by very courteous, well dressed, customer service oriented servers and staff serving very delicious steaks and other mouth watering dishes in a very spacious well decorated restaurant at reasonable prices.
Even the manager will greet you at your table to make sure you are being served like the way you should be as a valued customer.

Food was good, service and atmosphere were great!! Was expected to be wowed for the prices that were charged and that’s the reason for the 4star rating. Have had just as good if not better for much less.

We made reservations for 7 to celebrate my son’s college graduation. Upscale steak houses are as much about the experience as it is about the food. The food was fine. I am not sure Pittsburgh style charring is our preferred way to eat a steak but that’s a personal preference.
Here are the issues we had.
1. The restaurant stores its wine on high shelves along the walls. 3x during the course of dinner, I was asked to move out of the way so a random waiter could get a ladder and retrieve a bottle of wine. The bottles were directly over my head. It’s hard to enjoy your dinner when you have to constantly “get out of the way”. They need to change this practice because it ruined the experience for our family.
2. Although several members of our family were warned that the ceramic plates came out of a 1600 degree oven, my 76 yr old mother was not one them. Before I could get the warning to her, she had already grabbed the plate.
The atmosphere was great. Our server did a nice job. The staff was attentive. Overall, the restaurant over promised and under delivered. We will not be going back.
We had a great first experience at NY Prime. Valet service made it super easy to access the restaurant, and we were promptly seated at our reservation time. Steven did a great job as our waiter, making on-point suggestions. We started with beef carpaccio which did not disappoint. Thin sliced and nicely seasoned with just the right balance of capers and parmesan. For entrees we had the sea bass and filet, sides of cheesy mashed potatoes and crispy brussels. The sea bass portion was large, nicely seasoned and cooked just right. Delicious. The filet was cooked as ordered and equally as good. The sides did not distract but equally complemented the meal. Looking forward to a repeat visit!
