Went for anniversary. Very expensive a la carte , but knew this beforehand. Money was not the issue but I expect to get what I pay for. Ordered 20 ounce ribeye bone-in which lacked flavor. Had quite a bit of fat. Mashed potatoes were very delicious. Salads were tasty but the wedge was quite over dressed. Bread was room temp and nothing special. My biggest concern was the lack of meat flavor/ quality for the price at a pricey steak house . They store extra wine in overhead racks above some tables. My wife had to get up so they could put a step stool where she sat to get a bottle. Really folks? Waiter whose name escapes me was very very pleasant and friendly. This may sound like a bad comparison but Texas Roadhouse steaks taste better and you get more for the buck and the drinks are amazing. Sorry NY Prime.

This restaurant is overrated! Noise level is deafening - not energetic. Avoid booths in bar area at all cost; we were seated in this area, only to have bar patrons binning into our table - even for servers to make way thru bar that had to get people to make a path for seating others or delivering food. Food quality was poor - salads may be large but not good. Steak tough - we had the tomahawk (for 2), medium - definitely chewy. Best item was bread & mash potatoes - which you can definitely order elsewhere for less than the $250 dinner bill!

The staff decorated our table and left a birthday card, signed by the staff as well. We were celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. We dined with our family of six which included a one-year-old. The staff was accommodating and helpful with our requests. Made us feel welcome, right at home starting with valet service to appetizers, dinner and desert! Food and service 5 star experience.

Being a local, New York Prime still remains our first choice up and down the Grand Strand for Wonderful Food, Great Atmosphere and Excellent Service. Always Consistency and Quality. The steaks were perfect, club sized pours from the bar, and a staff that works together seamlessly. A shout out to Liz, Bobby and Joshua, the kitchen, bar, and even the guys in valet.

It seems counter intuitive to order fish at a classic steakhouse but believe me, the Chilean Sea Bass at NY Prime is worth it. Before my first visit to NY Prime I had 3 separate people...none of which knew each other, recommend getting the Chilean Sea Bass and I am glad I took their word for it. Since that first visit I've ordered the strip and it was really, really good...Just not as good as the Sea Bass. For my money it's the best restaurant at the beach.

We have dined here numerous times, always with additional family members. Someone akways requests we go there. Steaks are always cooked to perfection. Sea Bass has been ordered by several in our party and is cooked to perfection also. Noise level has been an issue for us at times so we always reques a “quiet area “ our waiter has always been pleasant and very helpful in making drunk/wine suggestions. Kudos in all areas; noise reduction is our only issue
