Opa Opa Taverna

We were in Myrtle Beach for the week and my husband found this restaurant, hoping to get a good gyro; he was NOT disappointed! He said his gyro was EXCELLENT and it looked delicious. I got the Greek burger and it was also delicious! My burger was cooked perfectly and was served with a seasoned mayonnaise that really complemented the taste AND the fries tasted good dipped in it as well. We also got dessert and YUMMMM! The owner was super friendly from the minute we walked in the door until we left. I definitely recommend you try this restaurant!

The people were so friendly and the food was out of this world! We got the sampler platter and a dolmas appetizer. It filled up two people with some take home snacks. We also decided to take home baklava from the bakery.

Love getting gyros from vacation and this is another great spot please come visit ;)

Visiting from out of town. My sister in law is from
Greece and we decided to check this place out. The food amazing. The staff amazing. It’s just a great find. Would recommend 100%

One of the best restaurants I have tried in Myrtle Beach. The place was clean and the staff made us feel at home. We didn’t try a thing that wasn’t delicious. The baklava cheesecake was extraordinary, the chicken, lamb and beef platter was also amazing. The soup of the day was so flavorful. The salad was simple - fresh - light and tasty. If you want a great meal that is balanced and fresh - come here.

Food is extremely overpriced.
This is not "authentic" Greek food.
The service was horrible. Not a single friendly smile, especially from the Greek owners.

Do ya want a Chicken Gyro and Lemon Roasted Potatoes? Then ya must dine in here. Go with an appetite because they stuffed their gyro sandwich with plenty of fresh and well seasoned veggies and meat. You will return just for the potatoes!!

The best Greek food ever! “Chipotle Style” Greek food, what more can you ask for. All of their food is fantastic, and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. They make everything fresh from scratch, and everyone working there are all good people. Must try when in Myrtle Beach….A++++

I walked into this restaurant for a lunch during my short trip to Myrtle beach. I am so glad I did because their food and dessert were amazing! Easily one of the best mediterranean places I visited so far. I got the combo plate with beef & lamb gyro and pork shish kebab. The portion was very generous, and the meat were cooked and seasoned just right. Other places would serve meat that’s overcooked and dry but this place was nothing like it. They also have good selection in the bakery for dessert.

I forgot which item I got - it was very similar to pudding and it was really good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits the area

We love Greek food and have eaten at many restaurants and Greek festivals. Opa Opa was some of the freshest, most delicious and most authentic Greek food we’ve had the pleasure to experience!!! If in Mrytle and want great Greek food I’d highly recommend OPA OPA!!!
