I have been eating pho since 1972, both in Vietnam and in the Washington DC area where Vietnamese restaurants are too numerous to count. Pho Claire fell down on almost every count on the pho Bo chin. Inexplicably, it used the wrong kind of noodle for the soup. Vermicelli? The meat was overly fatty and undercooked for brisket. And the broth was almost tasteless. In all my years of eating pho, I never had to put salt in it. Until tonight. That means the other ingredients were not blended, and cooked, properly. I don’t know how they got it all wrong. I recommend a trading course at the Eden Center in Arlington, Virginia.

Was our first time doing take out. The food is usually excellent. Tonight we order 2 pho noodle bowls, 2 egg rolls, and 2 Bobo Mango Teas. Our noodles were not cooked all the way. The broth was not hot enough to cook the rare meat slices. The vegetable’s, sprouts, lime slices, & jalapeños, we were given a small portion not enough for our order. I paid $80 including an $11 tip. $79 for 2 bowls, an appetizer each, and a drink for each, seems very high to me. Especially given the portion sizes, and the not so fresh food. My best advice is eat lunch here, after the lunch rush, the food just is not the same high standard we are used to. Or maybe it’s better to just dine in.??♂️

I had ordered the vegan noodle soup today because I had had it before and it was the best veggie combination I had ever had. The veggies were fresh, crisp and numerous and the broth was very flavorful. Today was a complete disappointment. The veggies were limp , completely overcooked and the broth was tasteless. Can I assume that there is a different person preparing this dish that was so delicious in 2023? I was so looking forward to having a great experience again.

Excellent authentic and flavorfull pho. Tried their Noodle Soup, Hu Tieu Kho (#25 on the menu). Underneath the pork and shrimp are rice noodles and various aromatics along with bean sprouts. They serve this delicious clear broth on the side so you can add as much or as little as you want. Fantastic flavor! This is our go-to for Vietnamese food in MB.
