I bought a Groupon showed up to use it and the place was closed. There were a couple of other cars in the parking lot that looked as confused as I was. There was a phone number on the door so I called it. Some guy answered and said that they would reopen in 4 months. Really then why sell the Groupons. I should have read the other review before I bought the Groupon

enjoyed everything we got here! steamed shrimp with old bay to the steak they cooked for me! crab legs were done perfect. they had lots of fresh fruit to choose from salad bar and great tasting desserts! lots to choose from! the staff was very pleasant! we will definitely stop back on our fall visit to myrtle beach

The Royal Crab was a wonderful place to dine. Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and to be quiet honest, it was much better than the Original Benjamin's. Everything was cooked to perfection even the rib eyes! The owner even came out and was so sweet! It's a must try!!!!

This restaurant is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. The food is disgusting. The crabs were old. Some had barnicles and brown shells. Clearly bought lowest quality of crab. The corn was translucent as it floated around in a butter pan on the buffet. The prime rib was hidden in the back buffet bar and is not passable as anything of quality, it resembled dried up shoe leather. They don't have proper air conditioning. It was hot, muggy and unbearably uncomfortable. The temperature was so uncomfortable the entire dinner was unpleasant. It was 87 degrees in the South. Come on! Signs around Myrtle Beach claim this is the best Buffet on the Beach. This is not true.

Heard about this awesome place from a friend so tonight my family and I decided to check it out and I must say it was amazing! We were welcomed with amazing service, promptly seated and within minutes enjoying the wide variety of HOT DELICIOUS food including all you can eat crab legs. During our dinner our drinks remained full and the table was bused accordingly. Matt Dennis, general manager greeted us about midway...he was very upbeat, pleasant and professional. He greeted guests, thanked everyone for choosing The Royal Crab and several times I heard him say, "we will see you next time ." We were so pleased and will definitely return. I reccomend that while in Myrtle Beach you take your family, your neighbor, whomever to enjoy this outstanding food and service. The Royal Crab will not disappoint. Matt Dennis keep up the great work, and we will see you next time!

Me and my family came back a second year since we loved our first experience here at Myrtle beach. We decided to try out new restaurants/buffets that was highly recommended from someone here to try out this place. We were instantly welcomed and felt comfortable. However everything went downhill once we ate our poor quality food. After my first plate I had to throw up and felt very chronic stomach pain. The food quality was very poor and most of all was not worth paying 34$ a plate (excluding drinks). My family and I were very disappointed by the quality and will never come back.

I am not one to really leave reviews unless I have a phenomenal experience. This place went above and beyond to meet my expectations. They are definitely not overpriced. Server I had was one of the best ones I've had in a very long time. She made I was sure I was taken care of from the time I walked into that restaurant from the time I left. She had a very unique name but I know it stated with M. She never let my drink get empty. I will have to return to this place when my family is in town.
Definitely one of the best places I've ate hands-down. I came with a big party all of our food came out at the exact same time there was no wait. All of the staff was very friendly, great prices. I will continue to eat here!
