Saltwater Scoops is a fantastic ice cream shop- dare I say one of the best- in North Myrtle Beach! My wife and I have tried a lot of the spots for ice cream over the past few years in Myrtle Beach and decided to try this one on our most recent trip. The scoop size (1 scoop ~ size of a softball) is perfect and the prices are fair. The owner is super friendly and the shop has some indoor/outdoor seating, with a tv inside. Bonus points for having a little table and chairs for my 2 year old to sit at to eat her ice cream! We enjoyed the ice cream so much, we went back two days later.
The first trip I had the Nana Banana (2 year old tried it and went “MMMMM”) and the second trip I got one scoop of the Beach Bum (vanilla ice cream with PB inclusions). Wife got the southern praline first trip and salted caramel the second visit, which she said she liked both. Both flavors I had were excellent! This will be our new go-to ice cream shop!
Kid-friendliness: There is a small table & chairs inside the shop for little ones to sit at while they enjoy their scoops!

Ice cream is delicious. Flavors are plentiful. The location is convenient, but lacks in atmosphere, as it is in a large shopping center. There are a few tables outside that face the parking lot.

Very friendly owners and everyone we've ever met there has been friendly, but you can't be grumpy when getting ice cream as good as this! Something we look forward to every year on our vacation visit. It's unlikely you will go for just one trip. Plenty of parking in the Galleria shopping center
This place is soooo good! They don't have 100 different flavors but the flavors they have are superb! I got the Beach Blonde and it was outstanding. $4 a scoop and the scoops are reasonably big. They let you try before you buy as well which is always a plus.
