We’ve always loved Sol Y Luna and I’m still leaving a 5-star review because this has consistently been one of our favorite spots. Our issue tonight was not with the restaurant itself, but with one bartender who made the experience so uncomfortable that we left without ordering food. My husband arrived at 8:20 PM and was greeted—not with a welcome—but with, “Do you know what you want? The kitchen closes at 8:45.” He explained he was waiting for two others, but the tone was already off. He asked for a Going Coastal three times and was instead served a Dos XX. When I arrived, I ordered my usual spicy margarita (which normally comes with muddled jalapeños), but this time it came out with just one seed. I asked about it and was told, “The jalapeños are weak tonight.” He did offer to go to the kitchen to get one, but the dismissive attitude didn’t help. Our friend, who is a regular, showed up and could tell something was wrong. He asked to speak with Alex and was told by the bartender, “He’s not here, and that’s not necessary.” While the bartender did apologize eventually, my husband had already explained how unwelcome he felt. We paid for three drinks—even though none of them were finished—and left. Again, we’ve always had great experiences here, and we’ll likely be back, but tonight’s service from this one individual fell far below what we’ve come to expect from Sol Y Luna. We hope this feedback helps ensure every guest feels welcome, every
Food is okay. Server is bomb (Valerie) very adequate in communication & friendly but on the other note, the hostess is the complete opposite. Expect to walk in and not be greeted also expect some faces from the hosts, very rude. To leave this on a more positive note music is fire!

The food is just OK. The ceviche was very dry. Both times, I've tried it. The happy hour is a good deal for what you get.

We did not even get to sit down. We called ahead to see if we could reserve a table for 6 they told us they don’t do that, no problem. We get there, tell us it’s going to be an 1-1.5 hour wait for a table but we could wait to see if a reservation shows up in about 20-30 minutes and if they didn’t we could sit there. Yet we were told they don’t take reservations. Makes no sense. Not waiting that long to see if there is a chance we could have a table for others that had a reservation when they said they don’t even do that. Never ate there before was not my best first experience there.

Horrible service. Waited at the bar for 20 min while the 2 bartenders stocked up the bar together and ignored the costumers at the bar. Ended up walking out.
It's ok. I ordered plantains with coconut chicken. Too much sauce, not enough chicken. Flavor is good though but I won't order again. I will try something else.

Terrible service, the attention from the Latino people themselves was very bad, especially the racism. They think they are Americans.

Definitely do not recommend the Birria tacos. Couldn’t even eat half of one taco. I don’t think I’ve ever had to send my food back to the kitchen at any point in my life. It was so bad. My boyfriend got the chicken tacos that came with rice and beans. The beans was the only good thing on the plate. Rice didn’t taste like it was done all the way and the chicken tacos were seasoned nicely but chicken was over cooked. He was hungry so he did end up eating two of the 3 tacos. Drinks were great and chips and salsa were good. If we go back it’ll definitely be for the bar area to watch a game or something. Not sure if we are willing to spend 40+ dollars on bad food again. Waitress was great overall. The place is extremely smaller than expected on the menu inside.

Food was dry and over cooked and no flavor. I didn’t get what I ordered when I pointed this out the waiter took the dish away then proceeds to bring it back and said the manager charged me for what I ordered so I get more food for my money I tried to explain that it’s not what I ordered again the waiter said again we lowered the price and walked away . My companion ordered tacos there was no sauce or seasoning on the meat and the meat was partially burnt

I hardly ever do reviews but this place was the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Waited almost an hour for 2 apps that never showed and almost 30mins for a margarita that finally showed up. We left not knowing if they ever made the food. Either way, they' re short of help or just don't care. I know I won't be back. Too many other great places to go to.

No one acknowledged us at the bar at lunch after a 20 minute wait so we left.
Very enjoyable place to eat with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a nice selection of unique Latin American dishes. The food was served hot and was seasoned well with the right amount of heat. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimpin’ Crazy Burrito! The portions are very generous. Our server, Alejandro (Alex) was very pleasant and was spot on in answering questions about the menu items. I will definitely be going back!!
