Tavern In the Forest

Went to the Tavern last night with the hubby for happy hour and appetizers. We have been here about 5 times and each experience gets worse than the last. Our visit before last night was interesting to say the least. One of the bartenders actually climbed through a window pass through as we sat at the bar and spilled beer everywhere and left the tap running. Later that night I went to the restroom and was forced to listen to 2 waitresses complaining in the corner about how much they hated working there. Last night, the hostess was less than excited to see us and the waitress was as personable as a wet fish. We left after 1 drink and we won’t be returning. A professional, friendly and attentive staff is as important as the food you put in front of your customers. Sneaky Beagle will have our business going forward. Their management “gets it”.

To enjoy an evening of dinner and drinks.
When we walked in to the restaurant, our feet stuck to the floor. My friends panicked and said this place is disgusting.
So we left.
Come on Tavern!!! Its a restaurant. Shape up.

Loaded nachos are the best, everytime family comes to visit we have them.

Very attentive, but not obnoxious

The food is ok. I've had 4 different things from there and nothing good enough to have a second time. The portions are kind of small. But it's convenient and they have a pretty vast menu.

Great sportsbar with an impressive happy hour menu. This is a spot that accomodates locals and visitors alike. Tell the host what game you want to watch and they'll direct you to the TV it's playing on. The place can handle a LOT of people and there's plenty of parking. Drink responsibly, as the local roads get very dark at night and run through dense forests.

Bar foods like nachos, pizza, and all sorts of fried foods are generously portioned and very tasty. The staff know how to hustle while remaining friendly.

Trivia night is no joke- the questions get tough and locals take it very seriously. Repeat customers can accumulate discount points for vouchers and gift cards.

Kid-friendliness: You do not have to be of legal drinking age if accompanied by an adult. The food is suitable for kids but the place does get loud.
