If you stay at Island vista hotel you must eat at the Cypress room outstanding, food service and atmosphere, with live music. AND A GREAT SEA VIEW TO BOOT.

Had the grouper. Not worth the $53.20 I paid, after 20% gratuity is included with no notice. If it is automatic, just raise the price of the food, and quit trying to hide that you are raising the prices.
Had a guy singing. The only positive thing is he wasn't terrible. Sang a chorus of a song and had to take a breather.

Our first time here and will definitely be back. I had pumpkin seed crusted salmon which sounded so different I had to try and it was amazing!! Dessert we got the strawberry tart and it was delicious! You also can not beat the view. Service was awesome and we never waited for refills or anything. Great experience

We've,been staying and eating here for 25 years always beyond exceptional food and service.although our original dream team of Sam "rest in peace" & Phil are no longer part of the serving staff sadly terry still is for breakfast he's still the best our favorite place to be in the world when we're in town on vacation.a must stay & eat here Thanks-Chuck & Debbie Broncato

Ordered food for my hotel room. No offer to bring it up, had to go down and get it. Fine, I can deal with that. What pissed me off is this place had the audacity to add a 20% gratuity to the check. No delivery to the room, no service itself, just added 20%. I called down to ask about it and got “we add that to every check”. All in all, whatever you order, no matter how you get it, add 20%. Should be criminal and won’t be going back, what a stupid joke of a concept.

We just found out about the taco bar on Sunday night, but we also just found out that it’s ending tonight and I was hoping that we could request to leave it open throughout September? It would also be a really great thing if you could send notifications on your Facebook page about events at the Cypress room? It doesn’t look like you update very often. With your new wonderful Chef and atmosphere, as well as as the staff, it would be a great Avenue to advertise what you offer. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and service!
We’re locals who made a reservation a week or more in advance on open table for Sun 6:30. We were on time only to be told the restaurant is closed on Sundays! Why aren’t the hours for accepting reservations correct? Why didn’t staff address this when the reservation came in? It was taco night for hotel guests only!

Awful. We made our reservation for four, turned up on time and learned the restaurant is not open on Sunday! WHY would this app enable us to make a reservation outside business operating hours? WHY was our reservation not reviewed by the restaurant and addressed well ahead of time? Simple courtesies....we will not be going back. Also now have little trust in this app.

We stayed at Island Vista Resort for 10 days, and one of the highlights of our trip was spending time at The Cypress Room restaurant. We had such an amazing experience—especially thanks to one of the bartenders, Lexi. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, learning all our names and remembering our preferences. Every time she was working, we felt like part of the family. Her warm personality and outstanding service made our vacation even more special.
The only reason I’m not giving it even more stars is because Lexi isn’t there all the time—if she were, we’d be there every day without question! If you’re visiting Island Vista, make sure to stop by The Cypress Room when Lexi is working—you won’t be disappointed!

Could’ve been so great, but entrees were not cooked correctly. Came here using the gift card we were given from our hotel stay. Appetizer was delicious (mushroom flatbread). We ordered the Ribeye and Pork Chop for our entrees. Ribeye had no sear and was very bland. Pork Chop was very pink and underdone. I let them know. They sent it back to the chef and he confirmed it wasn’t cooked. Instead of refunding me for the uncooked (and dangerous) pork, they gave us two free desserts. They still made us pay for the pork chop even though I only ate a couple bites because I was concerned about its safety. The desserts came (crème brûlée and strawberry tart) and the crème filling on both was watery and seemed underdone as well. Ambiance and table service here was outstanding but the cooking was concerning and unsafe. Very disappointed.
