Whiskey Roots Bar and Grill

More than 30 of my family members chose Whiskey Roots for dinner. Things started well with an enthusiastic introduction from our head server, but it went downhill quickly and did not end well. Because of the large crowd...and some arriving late, I was able to overlook the slow service, condiments that had to be purchased at a store next door after some of us got served (we waited for a while, then ate without it), super dry, overcooked red snapper advertised as succulent red snapper, and waffle potato fries advertised as thinly cut potato fries... Then, my sister was presented with a birthday cake...without ice cream... Per my husband: "A server said, "Let me check with my manager to see if I can get you ice cream." I returned to the table just in time to hear the server say, "Who wants ice cream?" My first reaction was "Is it free? Is it free?" After being told by my sensible husband and others at the table that the ice cream was free, I accepted the small cup. Then...we got our bill which included $26 for two small cups of ice cream! Yes, $13 per SMALL scoop! Needless to say, no one was happy, especially my sister who did not want or receive ice cream but had $13 added to her bill. NOW, YOU MAY CHECK ONLINE TO SEE "SMALL LAVA CAKE WITH A SCOOP OF ICE CREAM FOR $9! Yes, cake and ice cream cost $9. The back-and-forth blah, blah, blah ended with us collectively paying $125...poor server...no manager appeared from the back room of darkness. Hold on while I run next door for ice cream. Lesson learned, when in Myrtle Beach with a large family, stay away from Whiskey Roots.

Gabi was so nice 🥺🫶🏽 always checked in on us every few mins, communicated any changes in menu and accommodated! Food was amazing (had the seafood boil), portion was MASSIVE, and is such a cute vibe inside. we have to come back when on vacation again!!

Terrible customer service. Host left us waiting for an extended period of time while constantly looking at us. Couple in front of us had reservations and they were told they don't see it even after the couple showed them. Terrible

Was dying to give this place 5 stars but I was only visiting this one time. Wings were tasty but that 5 star desire was based on the perfect Old Fashion. Thank you Nate

Strong drinks, great wait staff, great food!

We booked a karaoke room and had a blast. They were out of several things, but what they had was good.

Great atmosphere, food and drinks. We went for lunch and all 5 in my group loved their food.

Had dinner last night I had the rib eye with mashed potato’s , my wife had a burger both were excellent. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Real relaxed place with great food

Be ware of 18% SERVICE CHARGE! Food that we got was good, but most of what we tried to order was unavailable. Cocktails were delicious.

Amazing food and service and great entertainment to keep my little one occupied! Such a personal experience from the staff too!

Kia was our waitress and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, gave honest suggestions, and the food she suggested was delicious.
