Place is awesome. Food was amazing, restaurant is beautiful, and service was spectacular. I placed a to-go order and everything was on point. I’d eat here again any day.

Figuero's lived up to their excellent reviews! My husband & I recently enjoyed dinner there with our son and his fellow firefighters and everything was a hit! The filet melted in your mouth and the duck was delicious! Raves to this delightful restaurant! We will surely be back again.

The food was pretty good, the waiter was very attentive, and the ambience was great! Nothing like eating in a converted bank with vaults now used for wine storage! I tried chicken and waffles for the first time and have no complaints!

For the cost, Figaro was a disappointment. First the atmosphere needs help. The lighting was too bright and the room did not give off a cozy vibe. Second, their red wine offerings need to be upgraded. Per the Vivino app, no cabs offered were rated above a 3.8 out of 5. Third, the food was ok but not for the price being paid. For me this was a disappointment and will be a hard pass on future nights out

Let me say, we have really enjoyed this restaurant. For the most part, we have always had a great experience. We live closer to Columbia, but always choose to drive to Newberry, away from the city to enjoy a nice, quiet night out. Last night’s dining experience will be the last at Figaro for awhile. It was a $220 tab met with mediocre (borderline poor attentiveness) by our awkward waitress. She delivered the charcuterie, no explanation for the cheeses. When I asked her what one specific cheese was, she said it was a hard one that will melt in your mouth. (Where was Chris?????) I’m not sure what happened, but 30 minutes passed with zero check-in. Finally, I asked the person delivering the food to tables if he could tell her we needed our check. Wait. Wait. Wait. Still no check. I kid you not, I finally asked her as she’s walking by if we could pay. When I asked if she could box my meal to go, she brings the plastic container to my table for me to do. I’m sorry, but a $50 filet with one side should warrant YOU boxing this in the kitchen. When we leave, no one says a word. Are these life problems? No. We both work and very rarely go out, so when we do it is a special occasion. It may seem absolutely ridiculous that all of this bothered me, but based on all of our previous experiences this was a ONE-star evening. Did I mention that we were actually supposed to have reservations TWO nights ago, but whoever took our names down put us on the wrong night. We were super accommodating and kind about this- you could have at least comped a dessert for your mistake. Won’t be back… Too many great options closer to home.

I was a little disappointed. I had the surf and turf. Surf and turf is usually steak and lobster or steak and shrimp not mushrooms stuffed with crab or something. The mushrooms were ok but my steak was grisly and fatty. What I was mostly disappointed about was the manager. Instead of pointing it out and sending it back we decided to make the best of it. We called the next day to let management know. We were not asking for anything just felt they should know since we spent $300 plus there. The manager was rude about it. He did say he would take care of us if we come back. Like I said we were not looking for anything free a simple acknowledgement and apology would have been nice. Due to the way he handled it we will not go back even if he offered everything for free. We will return to The Mill Pond for our special events
