“My husband and I found this place while in town for a show at the Opera House. The owner Jeff greeted us promptly and told us that he had some great T-bone steaks that had just come in. We both ordered the T-bones and they were perfectly cooked. I had the mushrooms and mac & cheese for a side and they were outstanding. My husband had the mushrooms and mashed potatoes which he really liked. We shared an appetizer of fried green tomatoes and chocolate cake for dessert, which were also delicious. Service was great. We will come back!”

“The food was delicious; however, the waitress, Jill, was extremely annoying. She kept reminding my daughters and me about the time remaining. We understood from the moment we sat down that there was a 1 hour 30 minute limit, but she kept going on and on. For example, you have about 45 minutes. You have 15 minutes. You have 10 minutes. I finally had to say something. I have dined here countless times, and this probably will be my last. She made enjoying our meal a bit taxing.”

“Passing through and didn’t expect to find this type of food in area. Excellent food that can compete with big city dining. Hospitality A+! Papason is a great host and our server was efficient, friendly and pleasant. Here for a week and will definitely be back.”

“I live an hour and a half away and come to the hospital often in Newberry. Today my daughter and I decided to stop and grab something to eat. So so happy I did. The service is superb and the atmosphere is welcoming and calming. Food was 10/10. I expect to eat here every time I’m in town. Phenomenal”

“My husband and I drove from Gilbert! Our food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We both got burgers, fries and beer battered onion rings. My husband also tried their hot dogs, coleslaw slaw and their sweet tea! The service was quick. All the employees were super friendly! 20 out of 10!!! 😋”

“Mellow and welcoming cafe. There is always someone sitting and studying. They have a lot of beautifully made fair-trade objects that make perfect gifts. The cappuccino is to die for and so is the London Fog (Earl Grey) latte. A great place to sit and sip and study or chat or bring a chess or backgammon set. Very cozy.”

“We've eaten at The Grill on Main twice, it's a nice quaint place. It's clean and the food portions are reasonable for the price. Given that our overall experience has been poor because the kitchen is painfully slow and the wait staff doesn't seem to pay attention to how long a table has been waiting. We waited over 40 minutes for a meal when the restaurant wasn't busy. If they would fix the kitchen flow the place would be much better. We've tried twice and it's off our list of places to eat in Newberry.”

“First of all the girl at the register was a bit rude I had ordered chicken tenders and onion rings the onion rings were fabulous but the chicken tenders were rubbery and stringy so that was pretty much a meal wasted the girl had to clean off a table because they were dirty the floors were dirty there was no one in there but me but they couldn't take the time to clean up cuz they were too busy talking and before when my husband and I were there and we ordered shrimp and fish they were not very good at all”

“Dined in today and the line was super long. Probably about 10 to 15 people ahead of me. But the girls behind the counter did a nice job to keep the line going. After getting my food it turns out one order was wrong. I told one of girls and she quickly corrected my order. She even let me keep the wrong food item. Overall a good experience.”
