“My husband and I found this place while in town for a show at the Opera House. The owner Jeff greeted us promptly and told us that he had some great T-bone steaks that had just come in. We both ordered the T-bones and they were perfectly cooked. I had the mushrooms and mac & cheese for a side and they were outstanding. My husband had the mushrooms and mashed potatoes which he really liked. We shared an appetizer of fried green tomatoes and chocolate cake for dessert, which were also delicious. Service was great. We will come back!”

“The food was delicious; however, the waitress, Jill, was extremely annoying. She kept reminding my daughters and me about the time remaining. We understood from the moment we sat down that there was a 1 hour 30 minute limit, but she kept going on and on. For example, you have about 45 minutes. You have 15 minutes. You have 10 minutes. I finally had to say something. I have dined here countless times, and this probably will be my last. She made enjoying our meal a bit taxing.”

“Passing through and didn’t expect to find this type of food in area. Excellent food that can compete with big city dining. Hospitality A+! Papason is a great host and our server was efficient, friendly and pleasant. Here for a week and will definitely be back.”

“My husband and I drove from Gilbert! Our food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We both got burgers, fries and beer battered onion rings. My husband also tried their hot dogs, coleslaw slaw and their sweet tea! The service was quick. All the employees were super friendly! 20 out of 10!!! 😋”

“Madmax Taphouse was an awesome night out - incredible staff, great beer and wine selection, delicious food! We had a great time and my husband is gluten free - they had drink options he could choose from and a gluten free crust for the pizza food truck. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Great coffee. Got some to go - ground for our coffee makers at camper. My husband is the Coffee aficionado - he was very happy w/beans and ordered a cold nitro to go. I was impressed by the several decaf bean varieties with tasting notes. The best part is the people and vibe are awesome. A place to sit & chill and feel at home. We’ll be back next time we come back to town!”

“We've eaten at The Grill on Main twice, it's a nice quaint place. It's clean and the food portions are reasonable for the price. Given that our overall experience has been poor because the kitchen is painfully slow and the wait staff doesn't seem to pay attention to how long a table has been waiting. We waited over 40 minutes for a meal when the restaurant wasn't busy. If they would fix the kitchen flow the place would be much better. We've tried twice and it's off our list of places to eat in Newberry.”

“A simple restaurant with cafeteria style tables, $16 all you can eat: chicken breast, ribs, shredded pork; beans, “hash,” sweet and dill pickles, white bread… and choice of drink: sweet tea, unsweetened tea, water. The service is very friendly and generous. I loved the baked beans and the cole slaw. The meats were a bit dry, especially the chicken.”

“First of all the girl at the register was a bit rude I had ordered chicken tenders and onion rings the onion rings were fabulous but the chicken tenders were rubbery and stringy so that was pretty much a meal wasted the girl had to clean off a table because they were dirty the floors were dirty there was no one in there but me but they couldn't take the time to clean up cuz they were too busy talking and before when my husband and I were there and we ordered shrimp and fish they were not very good at all”
