Fantastic! Unfortunately, this was Steven W's last night. Steve is retiring. Food and service was fabulous! Soft shelled crab in browned butter and capers, crispy flounder with apricot sauce, and the almond basket for dessert. I've followed Steve since he was the head chef at Garibaldi's years ago and he has never served a bad meal. Congratulations on your retirement, my friend! You've earned it, but you will be missed!

Place is not great. I guess they try to be fancy but it's not.

Food and service is excellent, atmosphere is not bad but it's all wide open no private dining space, at least not down stairs.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were promptly greeted by a very friendly waitress opening the door for us urging us to come in out of the rain. She seated us right away. The restaurant's décor and atmosphere were very warm and inviting with lovely white, antique, tin ceilings, wood floors and perfectly set tables. I felt like I took a step back in time as I haven't seen such exquisite ambiance and elegance in such long time. Our waitress, Candy, was so friendly and attentive. She made recommendations about the food and kept our drinks filled, all the while making pleasant conversation and making sure that our dining experience was pleasurable. My husband ordered the flounder with a sweet chili sauce that was excellent, as well as the flavorful seafood gumbo. While I ordered the tender beef fillet with a crab cake and béarnaise sauce that were both cooked perfectly. For dessert we enjoyed chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu, both incredibly delicious. We will definitely be returning to Steven W's in the future and requesting our waitress Candy. Thank you for a delightful evening!

Had my first experience here and I was amazed. Both my wife and I were blown away by the food and the service. This place is a hidden jewel that I want to both tell the world about and then selfishly keep all myself at the same time. The food was amazing, the staff was great and I think the price was on target. This is well both your trip to Newberry from anywhere locally and beyond.

I'll go to one of the other fine dining restaurants in Newberry, because their horrible website directs me towards restaurants in other distant cities and I can't even find the local Bistro's menu on line.

Downtown Newberry. Arrived at 6:30 pm. Only street parking available, and as town was having Santa and having snow created (60 degrees) it was difficult to park. Enjoyed the ambiance of the park added to the dinner. This was an office gathering for Christmas for a group of 6. The service was good, could have been more attentive, but no issues. They ran out of two dishes one was a steak which three in party requested. The appetizer was bom bom shrimp. A little hot but was delicious. I order a special entree, lamb chops with mash potatoes and vegetables. It was well prepared, tender, and tasty. Wife got pecan crusted chicken on a bed of raspberry sauce with rice and vegetables. She enjoyed and brought home left overs. We finished with key lime pie and coffee, that was the perfect end to great meal.
