Good food, good customer service, clean restaurant. The desserts were out of this world! Broccoli and cheese soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. We live almost 2 hours away but will definitely be back soon!!! 🙌🏾

Our company of 30+ spent a couple of days in Newberry for a corporate retreat. On our first day, we catered in lunch from Laila's Place. The sandwiches and sides were great. Family recipes made the meal taste like home. We also catered in ice cream and cupcakes for an afternoon treat. Both were excellent, and we were even given colors with ice packs to make sure it was kept cold until we were ready. The next morning the breakfast danishes were even better. Tia, her family and staff truly made us feel welcome during our visit to Newberry. I can't wait to get back to Newberry and stop in at Laila's for a sweet treat !

Best donuts ever. Chicken salad and pimiento cheese are awesome too, and best sausage, egg, and cheese croissants. Support this family run business every chance you get!

Delicious donuts! Cute store in the heart of Newberry. I would give 5 stars, but the price for 1/2 dozen was a bit surprising! $16

My kids and I often frequent this precious bakery on Saturday's after a visit to the Market and it NEVER Disappoints. I have to give a shout-out for the customer service we received today! We got there right before lunch and had promised donuts for the kiddos for being so good; something they were looking forward to. When we got in, the glass case where the donuts and other delicious baked goods were, was empty, due to a busy morning, they had already sold out. With heavy hearts, we walked back to the car coming up with a plan B, when the kindness of 'strangers' asked if we had gotten our donuts, seeing our empty hands. We got to talking, and I quickly realized it was the owner and her husband who had just come back from Chapin, SC where they sell donuts at their food truck every Saturday. They too had already sold out of everything, but just so happened to have two of the 'left-over'-end of the pan, Peach Cobbler Rolls (something we've been looking forward to after we had heard how amazing they were). He insisted that they were given to us, because these were 'just the left-overs that they weren't going to sell' (due to their size-however not small at all in our opinion). Let me tell you, this not only made our day, but also we will be ordering online from now on (amazing advice) to guarantee to get the flavors/amounts we wish for in the future! Thank you for being so kind and generous! We've determined this bakery (donuts) are way better than the chain "KK", always have seasonal items that are amazing, and even offer sandwiches and ice cream! Wishing they had a brick&mortar store in Chapin, but will continue making our drive to Newberry and catch them at the local coffee house on Saturdays for our online orders! Thanks again, from the bottom of our hearts, or stomachs! Have a blessed day! PS: if there isn't parking on Main Street, there is a free parking lot right behind the store and you don't have to cross the street!

Laila's Place is a delight. A truly local enterprise, run by the whole family. Big meaty sandwiches with interesting combinations, and delicious sides of pasta or potato salad. And the yeast donuts! Big and fluffy and just right. I forgot to take pics because, yum!

Parking: Several parking lots around the corner, you'll need to walk a block or two. Some street parking depending on day of week and time of day.
