Slow kitchen

We've eaten at The Grill on Main twice, it's a nice quaint place. It's clean and the food portions are reasonable for the price. Given that our overall experience has been poor because the kitchen is painfully slow and the wait staff doesn't seem to pay attention to how long a table has been waiting. We waited over 40 minutes for a meal when the restaurant wasn't busy. If they would fix the kitchen flow the place would be much better. We've tried twice and it's off our list of places to eat in Newberry.

Food- is tolerable. Not that great. Service- OK Ambiance- Depends on what you're in the mood for. If you want romantic go to Figaro's or a nice place in another town. Dimly lit casual, this is your place.

My first visit.. worth the drive from Simpsonville.. Friendly low key kind of place.. service was a little slow, but the food was worth the wait ... I will return

I went for lunch and had the blackened chicken wrap with fries. The food was cheap, delicious and fast. The wait staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

I was told by my sister's to dine in and it was an amazing experience. The portions were great. Food was at the right temperature and drinks were fresh ?.

Parking: It's on the backside with numerous spots.

Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is awesome. My goddaughter had grill cheese with fries more than enough for her.

Totally enjoyed my hamburger and fries at lunch. Burger was built by someone who cared, not just slopped together. Fries were clean and hot. Nice knowledgeable waitress. Will definitely be back.

Had the scallops and shrimp. Scallops over cooked shrimp had an odd taste. Baked potato was good. Service was spot on

It's probably the nicest restaurant in the small, historical town of Newberry. The food was on point and came out quick enough, although they were busy. However, because they were busy, the service seemed rushed and not as complete and friendly as you would hope for. The atmosphere is inviting, with plenty of antique and unusual items in large shadow boxes. The Opera House is only a block away, and there is so much to enjoy in town.
