Seated at 6:15, ordered at 6:25. Left at 7:30 with no food to catch 8:00 show at Opera House. This is not fine dining, waiting over an hour for a Reuben and Philly cheese sandwich is ridiculous.

Great place for a quick meal before or after a show at Newberry Opera House.

Absolute love this place. Found it by accident a few weeks ago now it has been added to a must stop for trips.

Beer-battered onions rings are amazing.

Had salmon with lemon & dill = very good! Rice was served cold and my grilled vegetables were soggy and not good. It was busy and we did not have great service -had to ask about appetizers, waited long time for refills on beverages, never came by to see if we needed anything with our meal (I wanted more dill sauce but it would've taken another 30 minutes). And there was a blaring alarm that went off for about 10 minutes. We weren't sure if it was tornado warning or air raid! The music got turned up louder and no one ever explained why it was going off.

Ordered the Chicken fried steak. It was way overcooked to the point the breading just came apart with the fork. Steak was also overcooked. Gravy was bland.

We went for lunch, I ordered grill chicken wrap and hubby had country fried steak with rice. We had fried pickles for an appetizer. Food and service were great.

We were seated right away, service was fast despite the lunch crowd, our meals were delicious as usual, and you really can't beat their pricing in this economy. We were a table of 4, all ordered sodas with our meals, with 2 of us having side salads as well. and before tipping, it was $65. Anything under $100 for a family of 4 nowadays is a win in my book! The waiter and waitresses were wonderful and busting their tails the entire time to take care of everyone in the restaurant. The establishment itself has a nice, friendly, comfortable and low-key atmosphere. Location is great for a walk down Main Street afterwards to browse. All in all, every time I visit, I have zero complaints.

Would have gotten 5 stars, but it was packed. I swear only one cook. We had a concert. Got seated after a several minute wait at 5:50. Didn't get salads until 6:30. Didn't get dinner until 7:00. We asked for the check when we got served. The seafood was awesome!! But only 4 pieces of scallops and six shrimp. Ugh!! Not enough!! The baked potato was a good size and hot. The Texas toast was cold and chewy. Really needed more help.

If you are looking for a quick lunch, The Grille on Main is an excellent stop! The Grille offers traditional American fare with quick service and friendly staff! The veggie wrap and salad/sandwich combo were the perfect lunch meal and the prices were extremely reasonable! The building is also extremely historic and fascinating. If we weren’t just passing by, we would absolutely eat here again! Street parking is available as well as a variety of local shops just steps away. Despite being located in a college town, this restaurant definitely has a local feel. Bar seating as well as regular booths are available. The Grille on Main does close between lunch and dinner but hours are clearly marked on the restaurant as well as online. Worth the stop if you are looking for a solid, quick meal!

I found the food excellent and the service even better. The staff went above board to make sure that our orders were right and our drinks were always filled. They were very pleasant and professional. It was a pleasurable meal. I look forward to coming back!

Hidden gem in Newberry, SC. Traveling through the town and stopped to get something to eat. Whatever my expectations were, this place blew them out of the water. I ordered the corn nuggets, mozzarella sticks, and catfish with fries. First of all, no prepacked frozen. The nuggets and sticks were handmade. Crunchy outside without being greasy, flavorful inside, and piping hot. The catfish was just as incredible. Deep fried golden brown with the fish being tender, white, and flaky. The atmosphere is cute and the music is lively. Enough to keep you vibing without being too loud so you can hold a conversation. The staff was amazing. Food came out on time. Not only did they memorize our order, but jade and jessica were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Definitely will come here again next time I roll through, and I highly suggest you stop by as well. Highly recommend 👌

Slow kitchen

We've eaten at The Grill on Main twice, it's a nice quaint place. It's clean and the food portions are reasonable for the price. Given that our overall experience has been poor because the kitchen is painfully slow and the wait staff doesn't seem to pay attention to how long a table has been waiting. We waited over 40 minutes for a meal when the restaurant wasn't busy. If they would fix the kitchen flow the place would be much better. We've tried twice and it's off our list of places to eat in Newberry.

Staff was inattentive and rude. Tea was the sweetest tea iv ever had in my entire life. Asked for a soda and it had something black floating in it. Waiter didn’t check in once and she doesn’t give us napkins, there are none at the tables smh
