I went here, hungry, and left wanting to throw up. My husband and I spent $40 on a panda express like venue, So my expectations weren’t very high however, the steak was the worst thing I ever had in my life, has no seasoning or flavor and he decided not to eat it at all the rice taste like it’s from a Microwave bag with no flavor as well. The shrimp was rubbery and tasteless. The chicken was not good either. I had one last hope with the soup, but it also tasted like absolutely nothing. We ended up throwing our entire meal away and going to get something else. It’s very sad that all the meat and food gets wasted here, but I am not surprised because the food is just that bad And we had all three meats, I have no idea how they have a four star rating. Hands-down, worst Asian food I’ve ever had in my life.

Was not impressed with the food we got, and it took quite a while to get with it being completely empty. There's definitely better places to get hibachi, and at better value.

I ordered teriyaki chicken and the chicken was so dry and tasteless that you could not eat it. It spent almost $10 on my meal and it was not worth $3.

This place has amazing flavored teriyaki meat and shrimp. Their fried rice is cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh. Even the ranch was great. The restaurant is very clean inside and wait staff is very attentive.

The parking lot can get full at times because of the neighboring businesses but it's in a safe area.

Great food and great service. I had chicken teriyaki vegetables, rice, and salad. Everything was excellent.

So if you ever read a review of mine you would know I'm brutally honest. For me it's constructive criticism for the establishment and a better choice guide for the consumer. My first Negative was the kiosk. Hard to understand yet despite the 2 fellas behind the counter not busy help wasn't offered. As a result I purchased things that were included. The salad was full of water, see pics. The chunks were big and we didn't see plastic knives anywhere. My wife and I both tossed them in the garbage. The ginger dressing had very good flavor but not for long as the water dilutes it. My wife got chicken. VERY DRY. She didn't finish it. I had shrimp. My thoughts were that it was to bland. The white sauce however was tasty. I didn't finish mine either. I thought the drink cups were way too thin. Ok for a fast food bot not a sit down meal. You have to be careful not to grip it too tightly. We are not from Newberry but this truly was a disappointment all the way around.

One of my favorite places to visit in Newberry for a quick bite

I recently visited Tokyo Grill

However, while the food is undeniably tasty and the speed of service commendable, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The interior is functional but lacks any real charm or warmth, giving off a somewhat clinical vibe. The seating is straightforward, and the decor is minimalist to the point of being dull.

Service is another area where Tokyo Grill doesn't shine. It's not bad by any means; the staff gets the job done efficiently, but there's a noticeable absence of warmth or personalized attention. The interactions are strictly
transactional, which might not bother everyone but certainly doesn't add to the dining experience.

Overall, if you're in Newberry looking for a quick, affordable meal that doesn't compromise on taste, Tokyo Grill is a solid choice. Just don't expect an engaging dining atmosphere or exceptional servie

They use too much pepper on carrots. Everything else is great.
