Very tasty food and awesome service. We went for brunch. They have bottomless mimosas for only $15 and a great variety of food options. Will definitely be going back.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere and service was great. We had mussels for our appetizer and we both ordered the filet and prawn meal. Everything was so so good!

From California and my 1st time in South Carolina and at this restaurant! The service and food have been phenomenal! The team here are very attentive and Paulet, one of the owners here has been amazing and very welcoming checking up to see how everything has been! If you are visiting South Carolina or a local I highly suggest you take a swing over for some amazing food and service!Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and they are very accommodating! The gluten free bread.. AMAZING!

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and Paulette is a beautiful and kind soul!My ribeye steak was a little tough and my husband’s potatoes were a little overcooked but the filet he had was delicious as were the carrots. They welcomed us for our anniversary and even gave us a special desert, upon finding out I couldn’t have wheat they prepared me another desert with ice cream and berries. If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic atmosphere with great service, try Bistro 55!

The service was wonderful! We had the escargot, risotto, and filet. The food was all cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The bartender was amazing, we had a long Island and espresso martini. I can honestly say it's probably the best espresso martini I have ever had! We will definitely be back.

The duck was dry, the apple tartin tasted spoiled, and the peach tart tasted like it had been in the fridge for days. I really wanted to like this place, but it also took an hour and a half for our entrees to get out, and the service took forever. The bartender needs help with his tables, especially on a Saturday. We ordered drinks twice that he totally forgot about. Overall not a good experience. The music and ambiance were good, and my husbands steak was good. Everything needs more sauce, everything was dry, including the bone marrow mushrooms. I had such high hopes for this place but was very disappointed

Was really hoping to like this place but when we arrived they clearly seated people at tables that were for people with reservations like ourselves we stood for 10 minutes then got a table in the bar section. The bartender was awesome very personable but it took us 45 minutes to get beard and 2 hours to get food out. The restaurant was smoked out form something burning and when the food finally came my duck was over cooked and chicken was par at best. We constantly saw the chef out at the bar talking with friends when should have been running an obviously over crowded restaurant. I really wanted to like this place an hope I just went on an off night. Maybe I’ll give it another try and hope they get organized

Even if you’ve never been to France, you will immediately feel that you’ve stumbled into an intimate café offering deliciously authentic French dishes served by a friendly and helpful staff who strive to make you feel like family. With the many fine restaurants in the area, we came from Aiken to celebrate my birthday at Bistro 55 on February 1st, heading back there on Valentine’s Day for another fabulous evening. A special shout out to Paulette and all the staff for making my birthday dinner extra special with a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday to go along with the perfect slice of cheesecake. Two incredible gastronomic and romantic experiences in less than 2 weeks! We'll certainly be back.

All I can say is WOW!!! The atmosphere was so charming! The staff were so welcoming, especially our server Emily! She was phenomenal! They initially serve you with fresh bread with butter and chicken liver pâté (DELISH), we began with the charcuterie board, our main course was the duck and the shrimp/scallop risotto (both were so good we shared with each other), and we ended with crème brûlée and their chocolate soufflé. And HOLY SMOKES! That soufflé was TO DIE FOR!

In all honesty at this price of point there are better options. The food was okay, not great, and some of the servers were well below par. They'll ask if you want bread and then won't bring you any until you remind them. The cocktails are good but that's about it. Like I said at this price point you can get better elsewhere, and certainly a lot more than average service, good but not great food, surrounded by a few faux plants. At this price point it's about the experience as a whole and this place just isn't all that unfortunately.
