Manuel's Bread Cafe

We had Steak au poivre for two. All I can say is it was inedible. Tried to eat it. Had difficulty trying to tear through it with a steak knife. There was a taste of grease. The vegetables were also cold. The platter was severed without plates at first. Received two metal plates. They were so cold they could have been in a fridge. Maybe they were meant for the dessert. Told the waitress that we didn’t want the food to go as it was inedible. Asked her to tell the manager. She told us that she did. The manager did not acknowledge the problem. Didn’t think there was a point asking again as the inedible food was not his problem. Paid the bill we did tip the waitress as this wasn’t her fault.

We loved everything. The atmosphere was comfy, french onion soup was literally incredible. All the food was incredibly tasty. We took dessert to go and enjoyed all the recommendations our server gave who was also such a treat. I believe her name was Bella… It became our new favorite local restaurant instantly!

I only had a slice of cake, but I would love to go back and try so.e of the things I saw on the menu

Once again everything was delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts. Great service and great atmosphere. We started with the fried raviolis and the hummus served with pita bread for our appetizers. For our entrees we had the Chicken piccata and the Boeuf Bourguignon. We ended with a huge slice of Banana pudding cake and a Tres Leche. Everything was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled and that we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back soon! Picture in the comments.

Very friendly staff. Although the server was constantly moving about taking care of people, every time they stopped at our table they treated us like we were the only people there. Conversational and recommended some great options from their menu.

The atmosphere was nice and it was easy to have a conversation. Easy to eat then walk around the area for some excellent views. Extremely walkable area.

Food was excellent. Grabbed the fried ravioli, a few different burgers, some fries, and the biscoff cheesecake. No complaints. There were a bunch of different lunch items I wanted to try. I will be coming back for a second run at the fried ravioli for sure.

My hamburger was cooked as ordered and salad was fresh.The salmon burger was excellent. The problem was desserts.My companion ordered hummingbird cake and got a generous piece.I ordered 2 pieces of strawberry cake to take home.We were shocked and upset when we got home and saw the pieces were much smaller compared to the slice of hummingbird cake!! In previous visits we always got large slices for $12. We paid $24 for two smaller than usual skimpy pieces.Very disappointed!

Incredibly tasty food. Sunday brunch for eight. Including drinks and dessert everything was delicious. I wish the manager was nicer to foreigners visiting the establishment though.

The Salmon burger was good, though the salt was a little more than I am used to. Service was slow but pleasant. I chose house salad for my side and it was perfect.

Took my bosses (out of town ) to Manuel's . They love eating and trying new non chain places. The service was ? great. Food awesome and my guest enjoyed the visit, atmosphere and food. ♥️
