We had an amazing time. The service was great as well as the food. The chef came out to speak with us and inquired about our experience. It was a pleasure and we will return.

I had a great experience tonight with Chef Taylor and my waitress Sierra. I will be back again! Loved the dessert from the local culinary school

Help Wanted! Salt & Marrow Kitchen at Crowne Plaza in North Augusta desperately needs an executive chef to train staff and reorganize the waitstaff to match its upscale ambitions. Despite promises of special brunch offerings for our Mother's Day visit, we received only the standard menu and one lackluster macaroni special. Initial concerns arose with suspicious stains resembling blood on our table. Attracted by exotic menu items like kangaroo, bison, and delmonico steak, our expectations quickly crumbled. The Meat & Cheese Board was unimpressive, featuring repetitive salami, basic prosciutto, oversized generic cheeses, and nearly expired berries. The parmesan truffle fries lacked both parmesan and truffle flavor, and the Caesar salad was excessively dressed, resembling coleslaw. We even had to request a drink menu explicitly. Adult entrées arrived before the children's meals, causing additional delays. My $75 delmonico steak was overcooked, accompanied by a thickened powdered demi-glace—unacceptable at this price. My wife's shrimp and grits were worse, with burnt shrimp and solidified, inedible grits. We returned her dish, and I shared my steak. Although they removed her entrée from our bill and offered two disappointing desserts, we were surprised by an automatic 20% gratuity and an additional credit card surcharge. Our experience was a complete disappointment—poor quality food, poor service, and hidden fees. If I could give less than one star, I would. Even my 10-year-old suggested a negative star rating. I strongly recommend dining elsewhere.

Was so looking forward to this as it had been recommended. For the most part meal was excellent , but we did order the oysters and I can't believe anyone would serve them. It was like the meat of the oyster had been cut off leaving just the muscle and a thin layer. 3 times the cost the of the average price of good oyster anywhere else. then to receive this , we could not get any part of that muscle off the shell, there was no meat and we should have sent them back. Mia culpa. Once again great service, but they need to pay attention to what is sent out to the guest. Our server was awesome, food was above average and hot , drinks were very overpriced and mostly ice. No way there was a full shot of Bourbon in my hubbys drink.

I am VERY vexed at the service I received from Salt and Marrow on April 11, 2025. I arrived at Crowne Plaza at approximately 10:03 p.m. I took about 5 minutes to go up to the fifth floor to check out the ambiance and immediately came back downstairs to get something to eat. However, as I was going outside to meet a colleague I notice a large party that was Caucasian and they were being seated. I quick greeted my colleague for 2 minutes then went to order food at the restaurant.

Upon my arrive, 3 serves walked past me!! Finally, I was approached by Madison as Alyssa moved towards the parlor bar. I made Madison aware that I would to like order something to eat at approximately 10:10 pm. She quickly turned me away and said “we are closed and you have to go to the parlor bar!” I found this very peculiar because the bar was going through their closing procedures and I just saw them seat another party that was Caucasian moments before I wanted to order food.

Luckily, Tyson, Q, and Rhagen took the extra time to stop their closing procedures to accommodate my needs. I appreciate Tyson, Q, and Rhagen for going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I hate to say this was racially motivated, however, as an educated black man that is welling to spend money, I feel that this was very improper and unbecoming of this establishment to operate in such a manner. I will definitely tell my all of my colleagues of this travesty that I have experienced at Salt and Marrow.

The hostess stated they were booked when they had full availability on open table. I was told to dine upstairs. I made a reservation for 30 mins later and was sat at the reservation time within the 30 mins. Service was slow and we were sat by the door. Interesting.

This is located in a great area but the noise level was overwhelming. The restaurant needs to add something to the design to minimize the noise levels

Big open space didn't make for a cosy environment. Terrible service. Got appetizers 5 minutes before our entrees and never got my wine. Food was good except I asked for my steak medium and got it rare. About average for what you get for dining these days.
