Service was fantastic!! Apologetic for fresh food?? I’d wait anytime I had white pieces of chicken fresh, juicy and tender….you can tell fresh not frozen chicken :). Didn’t tu the pies or cake will try on my next visit because I will be back!!
The family stopped in for lunch on a weekend. We each tried different items on the menu from fish, fried bologna, and country fried steak. The fish was delicious, the steak needed more seasoning, the gravy was runny and seemed not homemade, the butter beans were good, but the mashed potatoes needed seasoning as they appeared to be instant. The customer service was absolutely great. It was more pricey than we thought and for the area in our opinion.
Shoooweeee!! They done kidnapped somebody’s granmaw and got her cookin’ in the back! Y’all put y’all foot in that! (And if you don’t understand all that—stop an’ eat. This is what country oughta taste like!) ??PS: My Snapchat snagged the name of the next-door restaurant. This review is 100% for The Purple Hull. Make sure you get one of their fried pies, homemade right in front of you! ? We'll be back!
