843 Korean BBQ & Sushi House

We had reservations at seven. Got there a little early. Waited for a little bit and was seated shortly after seven. Nobody came to our table to wait on us until about 7:40. After that our food was good and service was good. 

Had wanted to try this for a while. Decided to go for a birthday dinner. Did the all you can eat korean barbecue option. Food was good...when we were able to actually eat. Service was probably the worst I have ever had. We were there a little over 2 hours and spent probably half that time waiting for something. Started by waiting 10 minutes for a hostess to even show up to seat us for our reservation, which probably should have been a red flag to just leave. Took forever to get simple items like silverware for our kids (8 & 10 and not good with chop sticks) or even an empty glass to pour a beer into. Server recommended a grill exchange between rounds but then took over 15 minutes to come back and do so while the next round of food sat waiting to be cooked. Overall incredibly frustrating experience and will not be back.

My sister's and I had a birthday dinner here and it was a memorable experience. The food was delicious and the service was great! We enjoyed that participation part of the dinner and the cost was reasonable. We will definitely be going back,also telling all of our friends and family what a great place this is. Thank you for a great birthday dinner!

We came here again and it was poor service from our server mercedes, not only was she dress provocatively, she was an awful server. Super dry and incredibly rude. Fire Mercedes smh.

Walking in we waited for a hostes to see us, but no one was coming after 5 mins. Walked further into the establishment and were told to wait for the hostess. Which them we were seated about 2 mins later. The food was very good. Thw server was on top of her game. The floors were sticky. The bathroom was clean.

REALLY generous food proportions on the teriyaki chicken/shrimp. Service was always on top of what we needed and food was amazing. Looked so good I forgot to take a photo. Military discount included, 2 entrees was about $40

Reservations not required but recommended for big groups if you would like the BBQ option. Since there was only 2 of us, even though the all-you-can-eat BBQ area was full they gave us the option to use the portable grill.
It's a little strange to have the banchan as a paid add-on instead of already coming with the meal.

Our server was amazing and the presentation of the meal was superb (in addition to the taste). Every bite felt like a delicacy, including the caviar and edible flower! I just adore this resturaunt!

843 Korean BBQ is hands-down our go-to for the best Korean BBQ in Charleston! We eat here regularly and it's phenomenal every single time. The quality of the meats is what really sets them apart... the boneless beef rib and pork jowl are pure perfection. The sides? Just as unforgettable. I could happily live on their Japchae and corn cheese alone. And now they've added a lunch AYCE, a paired-down menu, but every bite is just as good (and the price makes it even sweeter). The staff here is amazing... friendly, attentive, and always making us feel like family. Seriously this is the spot for amazing food, outstanding service, and an unbeatable atmosphere. We can't recommend them enough!

We love 843! The food is always delicious, you're not wasting your money on a cocktail and service is great. Christina is awesome and attentive and everything is at a good price point.

843 is one of our FAVORITE places for Korean BBQ. There are a lot of hot pot and K-bbq places, but none compare to the service, quality of meats, selection of appetizers, and drink menu at 843. We've been to this location too many times to count and service is always 5-star level. When it comes to cuts of meat, this K-bbq spot can't be beat. The bartenders are legit and the staff are always friendly and attentive. This is our go-to restaurant to celebrate anything and everything in my family!

The place needs a deep clean!!! The place is way understaffed especially the front door. A lot of work needed here

Very much understaffed and we had to flag down staff fir everything. They said they only had 3 servers for everthing and the meal went on way to long. As we were a party of 6 they took a set amount from the bill. Sadly, they took the full amount.
