Went for happy hour recently and it was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. I had a strawberry margarita which was on the sweeter side. My friend got the Jalisco mule and it was very good.

We also shared the torta al pastor, which was delicious. The habanero sauce definitely caught me off guard, but in the best way. It is definitely spicy!

Ordered quesadilla with refried beans and cheese to go and other items. Did not get the quesadilla with refried beans and cheese. Went back they gave me a half quesadilla with only cheese then charged an additional $8.00. I will never go back.

We sat at the bar after having dinner near by. We have had dinner before and it is very good but we needed to try a different restaurants. We definitely return to get after dinner drink and our Bart maid, Julia was excellent, recommending great drink. Very pleasant and profesional.

Got 3 street tacos. 2 pastor and 1 chicken. Best street tacos in Charleston, between these and the ones at Chico Feo. I used to think El Molino’s taco’s were king but these just blew them out the water

Went to Azul for the first time this past weekend. Service was great, fish tacos were amazing, and the salsa was great--not too mild but not too hot. Relaxed atmosphere and good prices.

This restaurant is not intended to be a quiet and dignified place for a quiet dinner, but rather fits the more festive and casual atmosphere of Park Circle. It was quite noisy in a strident way.

I had the Steak Mexicano with rice, and overall it was good so no major complaints in this. The chips and salsa were o.k. However, my wife, who is half Mexican and an aficionado of nachos, ordered classic nachos and unfortunately it was, to her, very bland. The queso was almost flavorless and milky, and the meat was largely unseasoned. Even the jalapenos supplied with a bland queso dip she ordered did not zing it up. We took home what she did not eat and used a microwave to melt some cheese slices and improved the flavor, but still the meat was bland.

Hopefully they will improve the quality of their ingredients as they have potential. Also, putting in noise dampening in the eating area is recommended (including felt on the bottom of the metal chairs which screeched on the floor).

I was a bit skeptical at first, but Azul Mexicano did not disappoint! We loved our dinner here. The margaritas were delicious. Tasted like real, fresh fruit in them! My favorite was the strawberry margarita. The portion of fajitas was huge. Enough to feed two! It was delicious and filling. I would have liked if they came with a few more tortillas because of how big the portion was, but that’s okay! The service was great and very attentive. Free chips and salsa as well— the sign of a great Mexican restaurant!
