Our club has a pot luck Holiday Party every year in the same space. However, the venue is under construction so we had the idea of a low-country boil and oyster roast. We left messages for caterers who never responded. We found the Crazy Dutchman and are happy we did. Through great communication and obvious experience the staff made the entire process easy. It's stressful planning an event for almost 100 but everything with the Crazy Dutchman went well. The communication, contract, pricing, timing, set-up, delicious food quality and quantity as well as tear down and clean up was clear and professional. Dutchman sent us a crew of three, Alex, Justin and Jane. All were on time, professional, efficient and friendly. Helpful without being intrusive. Experienced enough to recognize conditions, anticipate and respond. Club members kept asking if we could have these folks again next year. Thanks to the staff and crew for making our event a success.

We used Crazy Dutchman Catering for our wedding food and bar services. Hans is friendly, flexible, honest, and made us feel more comfortable having a wedding during hurricane season! Alex did a fabulous job managing our event, and the rest of the team were just as lovely. Everyone was complementing how great our food was and how wonderful the bartenders were. CDC allowed us to add to our package, as well as provide non-alcoholic beverages for them to serve to our guests. They had food set for us at our table, offered to box up extras for late night, and we didn’t wait for drinks once! From day one until after our wedding, we had a fabulous experience with Crazy Dutchman Catering.

We had a wedding on 9/20 at The Island House on Johns Island, SC. I cannot say enough about this company. They were very responsive from the start, very helpful in planning the menu, the food was AMAZING. All the guests commented on how good it was. We used their bartending service. The staff was truly top notch. The catering lead, Alex, was very professional and so nice. They all were so friendly, helpful, efficient, went above and beyond (I own a service related business so I know what that means). I absolutely recommend them. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Crazy Dutchman! We wanted a ‘South Carolina’ experience for guests at our daughter’s engagement party and our expectations were met and exceeded. From the boiled peanut/tomato pie/pimento cheese appetizers to the lowcountry boil and pulled pork sliders, every part of the experience was exactly what we envisioned. We received so many compliments on the fabulous cuisine and the attentive service of our crew throughout. We had a special request honoring the couple’s dog with a signature drink/decor and the bar staff were on it! Super easy to work with as we planned/adjusted headcount as well! Many thanks!

Alex and his team definitely exceeded our expectations in providing delicious food and wonderful service at our daughter's wedding reception! We had 3 stations and approximately 160 people. The shrimp and grits were a hit, but the chicken tenders and BBQ were equally as good.
The entire process from the tasting appointment to boxing up the leftovers was easy, professional and seamless! We would definitely recommend The Crazy Dutchman for any catering needs!
