Very slow at lunch. Employees always complaining while making food.

I love Firehouse Subs and I always order Rapid Rescue to go. This was the first day I was treated like trash. I'm not sure who the young man was today; this was my first experience with him, and he was incredibly rude to me. I walk into the restaurant and stand by the rapid rescue-to-go area, which I have done dozens of times before.

This employee who was at the end near the registers then yelled at me from that area if I had a pickup. I replied yes, and he yelled again for my name, and I yelled back. He then yells "it's down here" so I walk down to that end and snatch my bag off the unlabeled rack and still say thank you. While I was walking off, he was mumbling something about pick-up orders being down by the register, even though there is a big ass sign that says Rapid Rescue to-go orders in the area I was originally standing in and where I have always picked up my rapid rescue to-go orders.

I don't know if this guy was having a bad day, overworked and underpaid but I hope God blesses him so that no one will ever get treated like that in that establishment again. I will not go so far as to say I will never come back to this location because there were too many good employees who gave me wonderful, friendly customer service that outweighed this bad one.

Avoid at all cost unless you want to wait for two hours and leave empty handed! I placed a quick online order with Apple Pay at 11am for my absolute favorite Italian sub, ran by 15 minutes later to grab it, waited a few minutes... nbd! When I got home, I realized it was only lettuce, tomato and onion between the bread--oh no! Tried to call the store 5x as I drove back over to just hopefully get them to remake it. The kids and I wait and politely explain the problem. The employees were nice but the manager was so rude, he didn't apologize, he just said "We are remaking your sub but it's gonna be 15 minutes!" I asked if I could get a bag of chips to make up for my trouble and he said absolutely not! Yikes. Okay. I paid for 2 bags of chips, and waited and waited (over 30 minutes), finally asking if I will be getting a refund for my sandwich and he immediately refunded me. I thanked him and waited 30 more minutes while my kids cried and consoled my 3yo who was totally melting down. Finally I asked if I will be getting my sub anytime soon, and the man very rudely said "Do you think I'm going to give you a sandwich for free?!" The employee offered to remake my sandwich and the extremely mean manager (who was also rude to everyone else) told him she was not allowed to give me a sandwich! (what in the world?) I literally burst into tears, my toddler was in tears, and we left and went to Chick fil a... should have gone there first, clearly! Definitely avoid the Firehouse on Rivers Ave!

I stopped by Firehouse Subs today after seeing my name on their BOGO Name of the Day promotion. My husband and I thought it was the perfect excuse for a lunch date, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.

From the moment we walked in, the manager set a negative tone. He was rude, unwelcoming, and seemed annoyed that customers were even there. At one point, I overheard him complaining about his 11-hour shift. To make matters worse, he was also the one taking our order at the register, which only added to my frustration.

When I was going through my wallet, clearly looking for my ID, he rudely demanded to see it, even though I was already in the process of getting it out. Then, after all that, he entered the wrong name on our receipt—instead of Heather, the name he put down was Rebecca. We didn’t realize the mistake until we had already sat down and were waiting for our food, wondering why "Heather" wasn’t being called. Turns out, we were waiting for "Rebecca" the whole time. In the end, it didn’t matter much because the food still wasn’t ready by the time we figured it out.

My husband ordered the French Dip, while I chose a roast beef sub, expecting it to be served cold. When our food arrived, his was hot as expected, but mine was also hot and steaming. Confused, I asked the employee making the sandwiches for clarification, and she explained that all subs are automatically served hot, except for the tuna, unless otherwise requested.

I was disappointed because I had specifically been craving a cold sub, and this was never mentioned at the register or posted anywhere. You’d think the manager, who took my order, would have mentioned this key detail. It would have been nice to be informed upfront, especially since most sandwich shops offer both hot and cold options.

To top it off, the subs were mediocre at best, and considering one of ours was a combo, the total would have been over $40 without the BOGO deal—way overpriced for what we got. But the real kicker? The manager overheard my concern about the temperature mix-up and didn't acknowledge it, apologize, or offer to remake the sub. Basic customer service goes a long way, and this location, unfortunately, failed on that front.

Final takeaway: If you’re heading to Firehouse Subs, keep in mind that all subs come hot by default, and you must specify if you want yours cold—don’t expect the staff or the manager to tell you. Also, double-check the name on your receipt unless you want to play the waiting game for an order that isn’t being called. Hopefully, management improves both their communication and attitude toward customers because good food starts with good service.

The new general manager expects customers to know more than he does. Will not let you use your points and is just rude. Will not be returning. Horrible face for the business

The general manager claimed to not know how to use points to redeem rewards. Used to love this location, purely pathetic customer service and I will not be returning

Food was highly overpriced. Subs are small. Ordered a sub and took a bite as soon as i got it and it was already soggy mind you the only wet thing on it was mayo. $5 mac and cheese is gross and only filled the container half way. A box of kraft mac and cheese would’ve been more satisfying. Employees seemed to not really be all there. Definitely not gonna go back.

Went there Sunday and they had 3 workers at lunch. Should have been enough. We had ended up getting a refund after sitting there for 30 mins with our drink and chips. Normally that would not have been a problem but there were 15 people waiting around for sandwiches and one person was making sandwiches. We would have been there an hour or more. Others got mad and left. Had to get a refund. Place has gone down hill.

I ordered two subs for delivery while at work, one for tonight and one for lunch tomorrow.
When they arrived one was literally the bread with two lines of sauce on it. Not a single other item! Just bread and two lines of BBQ sauce for almost $12!
My other sub was the new Thanksgiving one. DO NOT ORDER. It literally had three little strips of turkey on each half, a smidgen of cranberry then the rest stuffing. Not even close to worth the money.
This is the second time I have had subs delivered from this location and both times they have been incredibly subpar.
I will never order from them again.

Waiting here 40 minutes for our food. Notified them that we were here to pick it up. Had not started. Three people behind the counter, all talking. Just asked about the food again, they’ve now started. Only one other order in here.

I placed my order online at 12:50 p.m. said it would be ready for pickup at 1:05 p.m. It was 1:30 p.m. before they got my food. Upon arriving was told ny a lady she was working on it. As people come and go clearly they were not working on it. Heard them talking about the 2nd sandwhich while sitting there. The employees had a disagreement while in there also. Oh oh the kind boy gave me my food and proceeds to hand me a kid sized cup. I kindly said your really gonna give me this kid cup as well as I have been waiting here for quite a while ( even the lady behind making sandwhiches made comment prior to how long I had been waiting.) He did give me my medium cup. I have just had better service all around. I was late back to work and dissapointed with my wait and service. Customer service is hard and I understand being busy in food industry is tough but this was just a bit much for me. Thanks.

This restaurant is very trashy lately and they tend to be slow with orders and act as if they don’t care.. the large Caucasian woman is very rude.. we don’t have much time to come out for lunch so I’m usually expecting the sub to be done when the app says.
