We've loved the Idle Hour since we started going there about 20 years ago. It's still owned and operated by Dolly, she's pretty much a North Charleston icon. If you want local, casual, reasonably priced food, this is a great place to go. We like the daily specials (ham, lima beans & rice, souhern style cabbage, mac'n'cheese, etc) and their chili burgers are really good! Don't be expecting trendy farm fresh. Awsome food and service. So far I've had the chili cheese burger hamburger steak with the mushrooms and onions, beef stew lima bean and bowl of chille, all great home cooked food

you can always expect to get a good home cooked meal here! The hamburger steak is excellent. Always full of regulars! This is a true staple in the park circle area. we love to take our kids there as much as they love to go!
