James Brown's Famous Boiled Peanuts

Bought a bag of original boiled peanuts yesterday in Hutchinson Square and these were the worst boiled peanuts I have ever had. There was literally no flavor and no salt. Being original flavor, I assumed they would have salt as flavoring but there no flavor whatsoever. I threw them out.

Just bought some Cajun peanut at their booth (downtown MUSC) and sooo delicious. I had them one time prior and I was not the best….BUT THIS BATCH! AMAZING !! Lots of flavor and a good heat! Truly enjoyed!

James catered Magnolia Garden's Sweet Shindig this past weekend and everything was AMAZING. He had multiple flavors, a great setup, and was so friendly to all the attendees, even educating people about what a boiled peanut is! The peanuts themselves are the best I've had in Charleston.

We saw Mr.Brown at the mount pleasant farmers market a couple days ago and I was beyond impressed, he was the only person who actually stood up and said hey and asked how we were doing. He was incredibly friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. My favorite part was when he asked us what our favorite part about Labor Day weekend was. He was able to get personal with us and build a realationship with his customers. He also had an incredibly contagious smile on the entire time. Beyond impressed and satisfied!

We were visiting from FL and thought the unsalted plain peanuts sounded great. Bought $60 worth for the family, and the first two people to eat then got very sick! We threw the rest out. Don't buy these...

James browns peanuts are the only boiled peanuts I’ve consistently gone back to since learning about them and trying them. Now that I live a couple states away, I literally crave them and nothing compares.

I purchased James' peanuts at the Palmetto Moon 20th anniversary concert. OMG they were so good. The flavor was out of this world. I wish I would have purchased more. My kids are even hooked on them now.

The Garlic boiled peanuts are the best I ever tasted! Highly recommended and he is a veteran!

I've attempted to get peanuts literally since black Friday. When Google says he's open he's not there. I am actually here now and it says he's open and there is not a peanut stand in sight. I am tired of the wasted trips because its not like I live around the corner

Hands down the BEST boiled peanuts 8n the south! Mr. Brown is an amazing artist of the trade and always great to strike up a conversation with!

Popped in to have a beer and James had a tent next door, and under that tent was the best Boiled peanuts I've ever had. They were amazing. Nice and Spicy and not salty. Do yourself a favor and seek him out you will not be disappointed!
