H&L Seafood

I bought flounder fillets from H&L seafood on ashley phosphate today. On my receipt said 2.5 lbs and when I weigh the bag, it was only 1.47 lbs. I called back and was told nothing they could do so Beware!!!!!

We went here to order some clams and crabs. The clams were small as hell and so are the crabs he ordered mail large craft. He got small and small two dozen clamps horrible

DELICIOUS FLOUNDER DINNER!!!

Ordered two dozen large male crabs priced at about $40 a dzn. Only to get the smallest crabs I’ve seen in a while. Plus there was a dead rotting one in the mix. Buyer beware always check your purchase. For the distance I had to travel this will be my last purchase from them.

Baby crabs against the law, STOP

Priced fresh flounder and advised an employee that I was interested in purchasing a total of 25-30 whole, cleaned and scored fish. I have done business with this establishment quite often, and each time my flounder order is 25-30 pieces each time. I was given the price after the employee called a higher authority head. I agreed to the price of just $1 more for each pound higher than last year's deal, and that was fine. Today I arrived, as promised, but another employee would not honor the price quoted. I kindly asked that she call the other employee and/or the owner to verify our conversation previously had. This lady stood flat footed and told me she doesn't have the owner's or the employees phone number to contact them to verify. Cool. I walked out. I suppose a few hundred dollars of product staying in their store was worth the non customer service approach.

I’m not happy with H&L right now. I come here all the time. This time I ordered 10-lbs of crawfish, 4-lb shrimps, 1 dozen male crabs, and a dozen of LA oysters. I got everything except the oysters and ended up waiting awhile for the oysters. Then a man showed up, ordered a dozen of LA oysters and he got his order as I continued to wait. Unbelievable…

I asked for a dozen large females and they didn't have any, so I ordered large males. When I got to my car they were baby females. I went back to ask what I paid for, a dozen large males. I went back to my car and looked in the bag, these crabs are not large at all not even medium. I did not go back because I just don't feel like any issues. Please check your bag before you leave!

Very friendly and informative service. All seafood was fresh. Staff did a great job with the cleaning. Will I go back? Yessssss!

The only place in the Charleston area that I buy my crabs and never get disappointed. They’re always very meaty!

The service was awful I didn’t receive my receipt then once we notice we got female crabs instead of male and female refused to refund us are money, SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE
