The best fried chicken and ramen you'll have in Chs. The fried chicken is perfectly crispy and the honey butter crumble is incredible. The ramen is my go to on a rainy day, when I'm sick, or when I just want something delicious and rich to eat. The wagyu ramen is awesome. Staff are super friendly and the vibe is awesome. The anime decor and anime on the TVs is super entertaining and really makes the atmostphere. Great japanese beer on tap as well.

We were so sad when Jackrabbit Filly moved up to E Montague, and even resentfully waited a while before trying this place. Man what a mistake that was!
This place is so underrated, the Katsubo Chicken Sando is perhaps the best sandwich in town. Serious.
It hits all the notes, that milkbread 🤤, the slaw with that bbq sauce, and the crunchy chicken - 12/10
Never sleep on this place.
Get the fries, don’t skip the Yuzu Ranch.

Salad is also very tasty, today we had the corn ribs and they were like the best Mexican corn (in flavor profile) I’ve ever had!

Yall this place is REALLY GOOD

Great little ramen spot! The charred edamame elevates what's typically an extremely simple dish to the truly unforgettable. The gyoza was among the best we've ever had. Had both the Tokyo Shoyu and Yuzu Shio ramen, and while I prefer the Shoyu for it's classic umame taste, the Yuzu Shio was the most unique bowl I've ramen I've ever had. Can't wait to come back!

Near Park Circle, along a busy road on which it’s a bit difficult to find parking, and amongst multiple small strip mall type establishments, you’ll find this Japanese restaurant.

It has a pretty good variety of seating, both in and outdoors, booths and tables. Nice choices for ramen and typical izkaya fare. There is a great ambiance with older Japanese movie posters on the wall, though the anime music was a bit loud.

Service was good and polite. We did make them come back a few times because some of our party was late… We also made them split everything out into separate checks… not proud of that, but they were understanding and were friendly the whole time.

Broth and noodles in the Ramen were great. We will be back, for certain… we want to try more items on the menu, especially the chicken.

So amazing. We came and and were first seated at a table, but luckily we were able to move to the bar by the wall. The bartender was knowledgeable, friendly and interactive as much as invited to be - sign of a great bartender in my opinion.
We had the pickled cucumbers and gyoza for apps, he had Sake in a cute box followed by a Piccalo cocktail and I had lemony pink cocktail. The flavor of the Piccalo was delicious and potentially dangerous if I'd be of a mind to have a few.

Our ramen was amazing. The best ramen egg I've ever had - truly. I had a spicy ramen and he had curry, both were delicious. I couldn't finish mine, but definitely had room to try the ice cream sandwich - also delicious.

I ordered the spicy red miso with pork. The noodles were pretty good but that's only partial of the dosh. The broth was lacking in depth of flavor it was also only a medium heat temperature wise. The eggs that I ordered with the ramen were cold even after sitting in the broth for about 5 minutes

It's a quaint place with a nice patio and bar area. Service was great, there weren't many people in when we ate here. The food was good. Came out quick and hot. Flavors were alright, I've had better ramen but I wasn't displeased with it! The prices were $2 different when we paid than on the menu.

Katsubō delivers an experience that feels both authentic and refreshingly modern. From the moment you sit down, it’s clear that every detail has been considered — from the thoughtful cocktail program to the curated selection of Japanese and locally brewed beers. The cocktails, in particular, struck a perfect balance between creativity and accessibility, offering refined flavor combinations without pretension or inflated prices. (Try the negroni)

The appetizer offerings stay beautifully on brand, capturing the spirit of a true ramen shop while still feeling distinct and without sacrifice to shareability (or eat yourself if you’re hungry!)

The wagyu ramen was nothing short of outstanding — a deeply flavorful broth, tender beef that nearly dissolved on contact, and noodles with just the right spring.

A rare find that combines authenticity, value, and excellence — I’ll absolutely be returning.

As for photos of food, I wasn’t able to get one. That bowl never knew what hit it
