I recently had the pleasure of dining at what I believe to be the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Charleston! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by our waitress Jovita, who deserves special mention for her exceptional service. She was incredibly kind and friendly, especially towards my children, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. Jovita checked on us regularly, ensuring that everything was perfect, which made us feel truly valued as guests. Now, let’s talk about the food! It was nothing short of amazing—each dish was bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell there’s a lot of love put into the cooking. I also want to highlight the recent updates to the building. The ambiance is inviting and revitalized, making it a pleasure to dine there. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. Thank you, Jovita, for making our visit so memorable! We can't wait to return!
I have no idea what kind of ice cream they were serving but it didn't melt. Firstly, I ordered the churros with ice cream and it didn't look like what the menu was. I was scraping at the covering to get to the ice cream itself and it was decidely hard. I decided to take it with me and I was worried that it would melt. It didn't melt when I went to Topgolf after 2 hours and when I left it on the counter overnight it just deflated slightly. I checked the churros and they had a creme filling that also didn't melt. I am kind of worried of what I ate. I would like to know what exactly the ice cream was as normal ice cream melts and so does normal creme. The whipped creme didn't melt. It appears an oily substance leaked out. This was disappointing and alarming. Please do not advertise churros and ice cream with something that is not ice cream.

The service was excellent, the food was good, the price was a little high, but the tortillas were really stale, I didn't eat them last Wednesday.
The elote was nasty but everything else was great.

Didn’t get a drink refill. They sat us near the bar where they had music blasting so loud you couldn’t have a conversation. I’m talking full blown yells to hear each other. This caused an order to be messed up but no worries no one checked on us once the food came. We had no idea there was no sign nor did anyone say anything to us when we came in (at a lull in the music) that there was a special event. I love this place and this was the worst experience I have ever had.

First of all, our waiter was nonexistent and then brought a plate that was too hot to handle and burnt my son hand!!
Came to the table once after bringing food.
Had to search for him to get our check, and he was 2 seats away eating. i had to remind him to get our check and boxes..
Needles to say won't come back

The food was so good. It's just that some of the orders were a bit wrong. I recommend the Texas Rice.

This place is trash. The food was not good and the meat was salty. The chips were stale and the silverware looked dirty. the server never came to refill drinks and had the nerve to tip himself 18% gratuity. The place is clean but the seats are uncomfortable as they force you to have to sit in a certain position to fit. Not coming back and advising others the same.

I have never had one thing to eat here that did not make me say umm. It gets fairly busy, so you just have to be patient. Enjoy the people who get to experience this with you. Enjoy a drink and their amazing guacamole salad.

1st asked if they had sangria white to be specific. He said yes and brought it to the table. Worse sangria ever. Food sub par. Only good thing was the cheese dip and we said no jalapenos and they were still in it. 2 meals not eaten sent back as well. Service also sub par. Had to ask someone to get our waiter. I would not waste the money. Their prices are high for this food and service.

Holy moly! I was ASTOUNDED at how delicious the food was here!! I ordered the Texas Rice and it was so freakin good!! The shining star of this dish was the chicken which was cool to absolute perfection. I’m not kidding. It was tender and delicious the way chicken SHOULD be. We followed up with the house made flan and that was FANTASTIC! Truly I’m embarrassed at how delicious everything was and my earnest surprise at this. I WILL be back.
