A very legit Irish pub in what feels a bit more like a roadhouse when you walk up to it. Don't be dissuaded...if you want a good Irish stew and a Guinness (or similar) this is definitely where you want to be.

I am from Texas and came to visit family in Summerville and stopped for a quick meal and had the best service ever! Food was very good but servers where nice and welcoming. Definitely will be back when I come see family again.

Wish I’d read the food reviews before going to brunch. Between the eight of us we had a variety of menu items. Bowls, Fish and Chips, And glorified egg McMuffins. One that was a $25 steak McMuffin.. Everything was dull, nothing was hot, and no flavors. The only good thing about our visit today was our waitress. She was very attentive. I feel sorry that she had to serve the food that the kitchen put out. What has happened to this place? I used to recommend this place. This was, my go too place. Unless I see a sign under new management, I doubt I’ll be back.

Had the grilled chicken sandwich with Madra Rua sauce and fries. I cannot stop thinking about how crispy and delicious the fries were! The sandwich was delicious, even shaped like a cute heart, and the Madra Rua sauce took it up a notch! Friendly bartenders had me laughing and completely enjoying my solo lunch!

I really enjoyed a recent evening with friends at this pub. We only ordered drinks so I don't know what the food is like (it smelled delicious from the table next to us). The best part was our server, Tricia, who was so lovely, helpful and fun!

I've been to other Madra Rua establishments and they are much better than this one.
The service was ok, the place is kind of clean, but the dish i had was terrible, the steak special with Mac and cheese is very bad. The steak was very rubbery and the Mac and cheese was not edible it had a strong taste like I was eating perfume. If it wasn't for the two beers I drank I might have asked not to be charged for the food. Bad experience at this Madra Rua. I would recommend going to another location.

One of my favorite places in Summerville! The waitstaff treats you like family and the Smithwicks is always cold and delicious. Also - so consistent with its North Charleston sister. Fries = yummy. Michael, Jeremy and Kiera are the most hospitable bartenders. Already have our drafts poured by the time we get to our seats!

What they call a prime rib sandwich was a cold slab of steak cut in half and placed on a dry, stale roll. I guess they don't care because it's just take out. I've gotten this several times before with good results I will NEVER give them my money again.
