My daughters and I were visiting from Oklahoma, had heard great things and even read reviews about this place, 2 of us ordered fried chicken rice/gravy yams & cornbread, the rice and gravy was the best thing going, yams was trash cornbread was day old cold, dry & hard now the chicken (2legs 1thigh) the audacity to charge almost $20 for the cheapest parts of the chicken and the worst part was to try to fry the chicken while frozen then serve it to customers uncooked good thing we dug into the chicken with a fork cause this could’ve gave someone the worst case of salmonella poisoning my other daughter ordered pork chops and they were good, slow down take your time and make sure your meats are cooked to the correct temperature that is taught in all serve safe management classes.

Food was amazing and so fresh… our waitress was the sweetest . The skin on that fried chicken was so crispy… lawd I’ll definitely be returning when I visit Charleston again

Chicken wings were hard, fries were dark and stale cooked in old grease, My mom ended up refusing her food,okra was not fresh canned, rice was half cooked hard. The service was lousy we sat for atleast 20 minutes before being given a menu, basic plastic wrap utensils, no additional napkins, waiter was missing in action, waited, atleast a hour for the food. Food was disgusting and over priced.

Walked in to order food to go. Two booths, two people per booth. Three waitress kept walking by me...one one her phone texting....no one bothered to ask can I help you nor said I'll be right with you. A young lady walks in and immediately was helped. To me they didn't show any sence of urgency to take my order. I then I get a sorry as I walked out. Straight rude and unprofessional. Can't rate the food because I never got the opportunity to eat. Come on now..really!!

I enjoy everything that's on the menu and the service is wonderful. And it's worth every fold/card and coin's. A must go and try most definitely.

We travel over 2 hours to get here and this is the 4th time we came and the excuse is the kitchen is always backed up and there was only 1 table with approx 7-9 people. Then when we walk in the door is no real greeting y the waitress says “Hi we aren’t taking anymore orders our kitchen is backed up and we close at 6. We got there at 5. It’s not what it used to be there.

A little gem I call it food was about a 10 minute wait the waitress kept checking in on us. Everything came out hot and fresh I also loved the bathroom setup it was very beautiful to me

The food was great, but I wish the place was a little bigger so we could sit more comfortably. I would have also appreciated for my meal to be served on actual plates when dining in instead of to-go containers.

I was a part of a large group. There was one waitress, and she did a great job serving us and she did it quickly. And got all the orders correct.
