Red Crab Juicy Seafood

I’ve been a loyal customer and I feel cheated. I ordered a drink online and wasn’t given a drink when I arrived to pick up my food. When I called the restaurant after I left, I asked to be credited. The employee said that when I order again put the drink in the notes or I can just come back to the restaurant. At this point especially after eating that mediocre overpriced dessert, I doubt I will come back.

They have drinks now!

I came in Wednesday and was greeted with a warm welcome. I sat down and was surprised to see servers arguing at the bar. Screaming at one another all kinds of profanity and things about drugs. And there were kids present. Then the male server Jake that was up there yelling took a break from the drama to come serve us. He was very short. Seemed like he would rather be back up there at the bar. The arguing soon stopped but he didn’t come back and check on us. Someone else brought us our food. He hung out and flirted with the bartender. The food was fantastic but I won’t be returning.

The atmosphere and the food was good. The food came out swiftly, fresh and hot. However, the service was poor in the beginning. As we got seated it was about 10-15 minutes before we were asked about drinks. One host came and said there was some confusion in who the waiter is. Two other host came then they all started debating on who had what tables still no one asked what we wanted to drink. So one of the host simply said ‘Montreal did not want to wait on us. I immediately said that’s fine because if he doesn’t want to wait on us, we don’t want him to serve us. I was baffled to know that in a place of business an employee can refuse to do his job based on religion or race. The reason I said those two is because what else could’ve been the reason for denial. The floor supervisor walked up and said has anyone taken your order for drinks yet? We said no, she said what will you have, I’ll take your order while they work that out. The three employees continued the discussion on the floor in front of us and other customers. This was so unprofessional on so many levels. We left the young lady Peaches a $20 tip for being nice and kind. Customer service is everything. The next time we’re in the area we will try a different crab spot.

Dungeness crabs were spoiled. When I called to return the manager was rude and accused me of lying. Even though I offered to bring food back and let her see and smell for herself. Will never eat here again. When took it back no apology and she searched. The bag and accused me of eating “a shrimp”. Duh how else would I have know. The food was bad if I didn’t open it. I only wish I had smelled the crabs closer before I tasted it. Scent somewhat covered by the seasoning and other items. She searched the bag for over 2 minutes before giving me my refund.

My second trip to Charleston, and I couldn't wait to hit this place! Authentic, delicious, and plentiful! Serving sizes will fill you up, and the flavor is out of this world! Michelle took GREAT care of us, knew the menu really well, saved us some cash, and got us hooked up with some of the best seafood I've eaten...and I've eaten a bit for sure! You can taste the food as soon as you walk in the door!
