This place was alright. The syrup had water in it but other than that, not too bad. Pancakes were great as were the diced potatoes, grits and omelet. Chicken was just a frozen chicken patty that had been fried and topped with peppercorn gravy. Not bad but def had those strips of tendon in the chicken that is unpleasant to eat. Worth checking out if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.
My husband and I went here for the first time after passing it for several years. We will be back! Husband got the chilaquilles with eggs and I got a more traditional pancake combo. All was so good! Husband said his life is now changed with such a good breakfast. The pancakes were soooo thick and fluffy and yummy, better than IHOP.
We moved to SC about 6 months ago. Have been actively looking for a nice sit down restaurant. We have finally found it in Rise & Shine. Delicious food at an affordable price with great service. Margaret was a terrific waitress. The Bacon & Cheese Omelette was made to perfection with loads of bacon and the eggs to order (scrambled eggs) with the Biscuits & Gravy were done perfectly as well. Even the side of potatoes and pancakes were amazing. Coffee was nice and hot...
