Quite possibly a good thing they are closing the business… walked in at 2pm and they close at 3. She rudely said we are closed and don’t have any more food. I was hoping to try them out since they have apparently been a staple in the community for sometime that I never knew about. The rudeness will definitely deter me from trying them again another time.

The best! Love the egg rolls! I’ve bee away for 30plus years. Same as it used to be. Pancit is my favorite! The wait staff is great! If your looking for great Filipino food… this is the place to try.

Okay, as a husband of a Filipina wife I will say this is a special place. They have good quality food, a bit expensive for what you get but the experience is worth it. We will be back every few months to take a night off cooking and still get some quality Adobo and Filipino food.

My first time at a place like this! It was very delicious! The egg rolls were the best I've ever had and the sweet & sour chicken was great! I definitely recommend the place! The reason I dont give it a 5/5 is because the description said it was a buffet but it wasn't

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!! I don't leave reviews very often, so the fact that I am taking the time to leave a review should speak loudly in and of itself! I placed a to go order at this restaurant for the first time last night after a coworker recommended this place to me. I ordered a dinner special that included sweet & sour chicken, pancit guisado, and the bacon fried rice. There was hardly ANY sauce on the sweet & sour chicken, so it was extremely bland tasting and very dissatisfying! The portion size was also extremely small! The pancit guisado was pretty much ALL noodles with a few pieces of onion mixed in, and maybe one or two pieces of shrimp. Again...extremely bland and very dissatisfying. Lastly, the bacon fried rice had almost no vegetables or proteins mixed in it, and it was also extremely bland and so dissatisfying with no sign or taste of any bacon, whatsoever. And once again, the portion size for the rice was very small! I inquired about adding a CUP of soup to my order but declined when I was informed that it would cost around an additional $6.00 for a CUP of soup?! It was a huge disappointment, a huge waste of time, gas, and money! I will never order from this restaurant again. I ended up ordering Chinese food from a different restaurant last night because I was still hungry and craving good Chinese food after being so severely disappointed with the bland, tasteless carbs that I paid for at The Oriental Cuisine. I really wish I could get my money back! The ONLY good thing about my meal was the lumpia.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant over 45 years. The founder, Stan Godfrey, was a kind and gentle man who always took care of everyone including his employees. After reading some of the negative reviews, we decided to have lunch there today. I had to see if things had degraded as some had claimed. As I suspected, Janet and family continue to do a great job in carrying on their father’s legacy. The food is awesome and the lumpia is still the best I’ve ever had – period! Years ago my wife and I frequented a 5 star restaurant and even they could have an “off” night on occasion. OC is not 5 star dining nor some showplace, but it is great Pilipino cuisine and our family will be patrons for life.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Charleston. I’ve been eating at oriental cuisine for as long as I can remember since I was a few years ago. They have the best pepper steak, pancit and lumpia. I also order extra lumpia when I visit to take back home and eat the next day. So good.

I’ve been eating at OC since I was a child. The quality of food and service has never changed and they hands down have the best lumpia I’ve ever eaten! 100% recommend if you’re looking for a long time, locally owned restaurant!!

I have been eating at Oriental Cusine over 30 years. Today 8 got 8 Lumping eggrools and eggdrop soup ( they did not have the vegetable soup I wanted today). Service was fast. Egg rolls great. The soup was like water with egg AWFUL. Just needed them to know. Things are slipping.

Did not want to give 1 star but I did...been going to O cuisine for 40 years...it's been awhile since I decided to go back...the smell of the place was awful ( old wet mold) ..I can't believe how dirty..I got up and left...never to return...Good luck eating there!!!

I'm Filipino but not being bias. I've tasted on of the best lumpia's I've eaten my whole life. The sauce wasn't a typical Sweet chili. It was a special sweet mix. The chicken adobo was a little diifferent with a little twist of oriental but very delicious. Their menu is fiipino- Chinese fusion which makes them different from the typical Filipino restaurants. The place is spacious and lots of tables to sit at. I asked the server about the cook. He's Caucasian but trained by the Filipino owners. Not bad. Would recommend.

I have been a customer of Oriental Cuisine for over 35 years. It's still ok food compared to the five star before Covid. The last two times I have been there my food was very disappointing. My sweet and sour porks breading was not done inside. I'm not sure what was different about the rice except it was gummy and had no taste. Prices have increased everywhere but for three adults it was over $50! Won't be frequenting here as often anymore.

I am all about supporting locally owned and family operated restaurants. This one has been operating in the area for over 50 years now. The new restaurant area has been updated and looks real nice outside. There's plenty of room to sit inside and I was greeted by a nice and courteous host. I got the General tsao chicken and it came with two lumpia which were hot and delicious, and a scoop of white rice. I do think that the General Tsao chicken could have used some scallions and a bit more spicier. Overall, I would come back here and try a few more things. Very nice and friendly folks here.
