We got the 2 meat plate-ribs and brisket. The brisket was super tender with great flavor. The meat on the ribs easily came off the bone and had good smokey flavor. Onion rings and fried okra straight out of the fryer. Really good food.

Outstanding. Some of the Best brisket I've had in a long time. Great ribs. Good sides. Really enjoyed everything. Customer service is Outstanding, always warm and friendly.

Willie Jewell‘s BarBQ on University Boulevard is our go-to place for barbecue! We love dining in or getting carry-out. All the meats are excellent AND the sides are flavorful and quite varied, including daily special sides. The portions are generous and one of my favorite things about dining in is that all the sauces are WARM and available in a large pump dispenser. It’s always sad to me to put cold sauce on warm meat … that never happens at Willie Jewell‘s BarBQ on University Boulevard! The restaurant has an old-fashioned and lighthearted atmosphere and the staff are pleasant and efficient.
