Good burgers, get the double smash burger. I didn’t enjoy the wings personally, the sauce wasn't for me. It’s very LOUD on college football Saturday’s and it’s an Ohio State bar.

We had eaten at this restaurant many times over the years when it was called Basil's. We were so glad to see that with a new owner and new name that The Twisted Penguin had kept the same great laid back atmosphere and many of the same or similar food items on the menu. The wings were outstanding (especially the garlic parmesan and sweet heat) and the smash burger was delicious. We throughly enjoyed our food and our waitress was fantastic and attentive. We highly recommend this place. As you can see from one of the pictures, the atmosphere outside is very casual with twinkling lights and is just perfect with a steady breeze blowing. The waitress offered us a set of oversized Uno cards for us to play while we waited on our food. It was one of favorites places to eat on our trip. It was a perfect location for us from our condo as we walked about 1 block to it and then across the street to pick up some items at Boulineau's. Great food, great times, and great memories. Highly recommend! Be sure to ask them about their special which differ each night and their early bird menu.

Kid-friendliness: We ate outside. There was plenty of room at large outdoor tables for children to sit out and even run around and play if needed. I wish I had taken a picture of the "play" area for kids with toys for children or adults to play with.

Ate here for the first time,ordered a 14 inch cheese pizza with bacon,and an order of fries.Was not expecting much but the pizza was the best I had in a sports bar setting in the area Food was at my table in about 15 minutes,and my waitress was very attentive and always smiling.Checked on me several times for refills on my soda and in case I needed anything else Would definitely eat here again,Plenty of TV's on with different sports,2 baseball playoff games and NHL hockey

I recently visited The Twisted Penguin with my partner, and it was a terrible dining experience from start to finish. The food was subpar, and our server didn’t even get the order right. The overall service was slow and dismissive, which became even more apparent when I noticed how differently other guests were treated compared to us. It was clear that my partner, who is of color, was not being shown the same level of respect, and that left a really bad impression.

On top of that, there was a bug in my partner’s drink, and when they remade it, they reused the same cup, which is just unsanitary. To make things worse, when we received the check, the prices on the bill didn’t match those on the menu, and we were charged more than what was listed.

I wouldn’t recommend The Twisted Penguin to anyone. The lack of care, poor service, and disregard for customers’ experiences made it one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.

I recently visited The Twisted Penguin with my partner, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. To start, the food was far from enjoyable. Our server got our order wrong, and the service overall was lackluster. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was the feeling that I was being treated differently due to my race, which was evident in the dismissive attitude we received compared to other tables.

To make matters worse, there was a bug in my drink, and when I pointed it out, they remade it using the same cup. This level of disregard for basic hygiene is unacceptable. Adding to the frustration, the prices listed on the menu didn’t match the final bill. We were charged more than expected, with no explanation for the discrepancy.

Overall, the combination of poor service, questionable practices, and unappetizing food made this visit a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend The Twisted Penguin to anyone looking for a quality dining experience.

first time visiting tonight & can i just say the service is phenomenal!! kiersten was our server and we absolutely LOVED her!! her and the whole staff constantly checked on us, and made sure we were taken care of 1000%. and then the food was 100/10. will be returning especially to see our newest girl - again thank you!!
