This was recommended to us by a couple we meet at the pool. We had always seen the line but unsure about this mom and pop restaurant. It’s been in business for over 75 years. My husband had the seafood platter me the hamburger but I took things off his plate. They have the best seafood platter we’ve had at the beach. Large portions so when ordering get the small, on the platter was Oysters, flounder, shrimp, scallops, and one of the best crab cakes that I ever tasted. The line moves fast. So go!!

First timers but will absolutely return. We ere in line when they opened and were seated very fast, waitress was a gem and the meal was very good, hubby got the whole flounder and I ordered a combo with scallops and shrimp.

We went for supper end of Aug 2023. We split the Seafood Platter. It was plenty enough to share. I wanted to save room for some Coconut creme pie. They did not have any that night. I ended up with Peanut butter pie. It was good but not as good as the coconut pie. The flounder on the Seafood Platter was all skin. Not enough meat. This is still a good place for simply good seafood. Just go early to get in line.

They're open for breakfast and lunch. Haven't been there for lunch but if you're looking for a cheap breakfast, this is the place to go! We went there twice when we were there wk of 9/11/23 and both times there was a line. We decided to go there because we couldn't eat another benedict or other huge breakfast!

We loved it! We have always seen lines getting into this restaurant. We thought it had to be good food. We were not disappointed. Wait time in line was not that long. Food was amazing. Came out fresh and hot! We will be back!!!

I had the chopped BBQ sandwich with fries, BEST BBQ I have ever had anywhere! Our server was fantastic, she took great care of 7 of us and was very friendly! I will be going back! This place is a gem!!! The prices are also FANTASTIC!! This was our first time there, but won't be our last!! Thank you Hoskins!!

Where to begin, we have had breakfast there twice and both times it was fantabulous!! Today we had Sunday lunch, ordered the special. Baked turkey, cornbread dressing, squash casserole, green beans and cranberry sauce, oh yeah banana pudding. I placed my order and went to restroom. When I got back to the table my food was waiting for me!! The entire staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The service was excellent!! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!!!

Everyone talks about how great Hoskins is so we were excited to try. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either! We had the gumbo-was alright but didn’t taste homemade. Hubs had ribs-said they were good, but the greens and field beans had zero flavor. Son had fish said it was just okay. Maybe we ordered the wrong things! There are much better places to eat in NMB in my opinion
Ate here several times for breakfast. Everything was delicious, even the oatmeal. Prices are very reasonable. Two people can eat for under $25! And the service was great also. Can't wait to go back next year!

Alright we went here with kids based on famous reviews but that was a little disappoining. This is old style of cooking when it comes to dishes. For fish, they don't have many choices..typical fried fish or shrimp..no blackened or grilled option. People seem to be good but in hurry.

This place is a must when you stay at Cherry grove. It's a simple plate dinner restaurant but don't be fooled....it has some of the best food around.If you don't pick up your order. Expect a wait in line.... That should tell you something.

Seafood done right. The Blackened Grouper was cooked perfectly. The jalapeño bacon creamed corn was made with fresh corn on the cob and was amazingly good. The fried Seafood Platter was fried to perfection. It was not greasy at all. I will most definitely come here again the next time we are in North Myrtle...or anywhere close enough to make it here !!!

Just about down to earth breakfast you’d ever want to eat. Basic fair. Fabulous taste, excellent value, friendly service, a great experience. Go there if you want to eat food. Also I ordered a takeout, a whole flounder, just do that too. Hats off to you Hoskins
