If your not a local, they will add 10$ onto your tip, and if you go back, they will say there is no manager there to deal with it
8/16/25 Terrible patio service. Took about 15 minutes to get menus tossed at us. After another 10 or so minutes, it was pretty clear we weren’t going to be served. We were there to see the band, otherwise we would have immediately left. Went to the bar for drinks and, thankfully, got served quickly. None of the table staff ever checked on us. Even jerked the menus off the table to give to someone else. But if you’re a local, you’re golden. You’ll have a great time. Visitors, stay away because they make it pretty clear you aren’t welcome.

We went to Murphy's for the 1st time. The band, Fossil Rockers, was great! We were able to sit out in the sun, have hot and delicious appetizers (Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and soft pretzels), and awesome service by Sarah. It is a no frills, come as you are, fun place to hang out.

Love this place
This place is an absolute vibe. If you like hole in the wall bars with great music, affordable drinks and fun people you have to come here. A bar with affordable drinks right on the beachfront is unheard of, but Murphy's makes it happen.

Great beach dive bar, definitely try the steak and blue cheese bites and grab a cold beverage

For more than a decade, I have been visiting North Myrtle Beach and Moto's is and always will be my Home Bar! I love the staff that always make you feel like you're part of the family and work to make your time spent, the best part of your day. Rain or shine, hot or cold, indoors or out, you can never go wrong at Murphy's!
