My daughter, husband, and I dined at River City Cafe yesterday, where our experience turned into a nightmare. Despite enduring atrocious service, it took us 45 minutes just to get someone's attention to take our order and fetch us drinks. Our waitress was dismissive and rude, and it took an additional hour for our food to reach the table, even after it was ready in the kitchen for 15 minutes. When it finally arrived, we ordered the Nacho-something burger with jalapenos. However, the meat appeared off, with a strange odor and a grayish hue. Despite my initial reservations, I took a few bites before realizing something was seriously wrong. I ended up feeling sick as a dog afterward, experiencing vomiting, stomach pains, and diarrhea. While I'm certain it was due to the meat, the possibility of cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. When I reached out to the director of operations, their response was dismissive, asking if we had seen a doctor. As someone working in home health care, I am familiar with the symptoms of food poisoning and didn't see the need to seek medical attention. River City Cafe's negligence not only ruined our meal but also jeopardized our health. I feel that the director of operations should have offered to at least refund us. Or make it right I'm on vacation out-of-state. My insurance does not pick up here. And I do not feel like going to the Doctor to be told. I have food poisoning when I already know. That's what I have unless they would offer to pay for that visit. Then we would all gladly go

Best burger ever!!! Add in the breaded zucchini and you have an awesome meal! Kid friendly with butcher paper with fun games on it and you have a great family place!

I freaking love this place if you go with another person split the burger in half and trade with them.... so much
Manager or owner should be ashamed. Went here and was appalled. Very hungry family so we stayed. First off, server never greeted us for 10 min, while the hostesses leaned around on the counter. I literally walked up to them and asked them to send a waiter to our table. Used the men's restroom and no TP. Hostesses barely even reacted or apologized. Food came out quick, almost too quick. Sons burger was obviously pre frozen and he immediately got stomach pains at the end of a few bites. My daughters mac and cheese was probably some boxed brand and was drier than cat litter, even she refused to take a bite and toddlers are not picky about that. My fish strips, looked good but were very salty and the fish inside extremely mushy, I almost thought it was raw. Didn't even finish them. My wife ordered a vodka lemonade and it was never delivered to the table and when it did, had not a drop of alcohol in it and if it was, it was extremely watered down. The only saving grace about the whole meal were the fries, hot, fresh and tasty. One male waiter was very friendly and he made the night enjoyable. We thank him. Oh by the way we ordered a side salad and it never arrived. We wrote a note to the manager about the faults of the meal and we really hope it was delivered. In closing, a 4 top meal was 90 bucks with tip and we feel extremely ripped off. I'm pretty sure local Myrtle Beachians avoid this place like the plague. I sure wish we did. What a sore spot for our vacation. Eat here if you want slapped together food, smashed buns and something quick. Not if you want something crafted with care and respect. Because we sure didn't get any respect here.
I went to a burger place and got a chicken sandwhich. Stupid right?Well it was a phenomenal chicken sandwhich so I’m not too mad at myself about it. My 4 year old absolutely loved that he could throw peanuts on the floor and write his name on the wall. He keeps asking to go back.
